Chalet les 4 saisons - Ski, parking et jardin

😊: The chalet is lovely, it's in a really good location, right in the middle of La Chapelle-d'Abondance, it has parking behind in the courtyard and it's just off the main route through the village. We were advised close to our check-in time that the heating had had an issue, there were some radiators left for us, but we had an 11 month old baby and we needed more (the host's sister dropped off more on the next day) and the heating was fixed on the first day the plumber was available. The host even came over to apologise and he helped me jump start my car (the temperature went down to -10). It's a lovely chalet, it might need a little modernising, but you're not really there for the chalet, more the mountains, skiing/snowboarding. I would have no hesitation to come back and stay here again.. 😢: we were only given one bag of firewood, i think that there should be a shed full of firewood in the courtyard (lots of other chalets have lots of firewood outside) also there was a big space between the kitchen and the table, a seating area with some arm chairs could fill this area in - two very minor dislikes..

😊: The sitting and dining area were particularly spacious. There was a large balcony at the back which got the sun and the view there was spectacular. The kitchen area was big and very well stocked with crockery, utensils etc. Beds were very comfortable and 2 beautiful bathrooms with walk-in showers. The village has some eating places and a few shops including a lovely bakery/patisserie where you can sit and have something to eat and drink. Would definitely return.. 😢: It's on the main road through the village so if you're sleeping in a front bedroom there's some traffic noise in the morning but it's not a big issue. Not much hanging space for clothes in our upstairs bedroom..

😊: The location is great for hiking and walking. I suppose it is also good for skiing in winter as there were lifts very close to the house. The check-in was super easy, the instructions were clear and the online welcome guide with suggestions of restaurants and activities was a great bonus. The house itself corresponds to the description, it is very well arranged, and will easily fit 8 people - besides having 8 beds, the dining table and the couch are huge.. 😢: The only slightly annoying thing was the entrance door - it took a great effort to lock it. I was scared every time that we might break either the lock or the handle..

😊: Great hosts - we originally booked this trip for March 2024, but had to re-schedule due to a medical incident. Hosts were so helpful to amend booking to February 2025. Fantastic location and very clean upon arrival.. 😢: There wasn't anything we didn't like..

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons bénéficié d’un excellent accueil par la maman du propriétaire. La maison est très fonctionnelle et nous a parfaitement convenue. La communication avec les propriétaires est parfaite et ils sont à disposition pour toute question. Il est clair que nous retournerons dans ce lieu et dans cette maison. Par contre, et rien à voir avec la location, les restaurants et remontées mécaniques étaient, pour la plupart, fermés. Nous aurions apprécié trouver une buvette d’altitude ouverte. Nous avons donc dû prévoir nos randonnées en fonction et emporter notre subsistance et boisson. La région est extraordinaire et convient à tout type de randonneurs et offrant des points de vue superbes. Nous ne pouvons que recommander tant la région que la maison à louer. Merci et à bientôt. We spent 3 weeks here and loved every minute of it. There's a lot of room with a proper well fitted kitchen which we much appreciated because we mostly cook for ourselves. However La Chapelle has a number of really good restaurants so every now and then we had an evening off and ate out. The uninterupted view from the main living room is the Cret Beni, which is so beautiful. We plan to return next year, if by then the two camp beds in second bedroom have been replaced it would take the score from 8/10 to 10/10!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Seules remarques à faire sur la maison, pas assez de vaisselle (trop peu de couverts notamment) surtout avec un lave-vaisselle à disposition. Et également pour le couchage, en ce qui concerne la chambre du haut avec les deux lits jumeaux, trop petits pour des ados et le lit de la chambre du bas, pas super confortable. Mais a part ça maison très agréable, moderne et accueillante.
