Chalet 'Les Marmottons' 4 avec Spa extérieur Internet Wifi

2 families with teenagers had a lovely stay. Far enough up the mountain to enjoy stunning surroundings but close enough to Morzine, Montriond for super easy ski access. Chalet lovely and cosy with a great dinning table to enjoy group breakfasts and evening meals. Lovely external lighting made the chalet easy to find coming back in the dark. Only thing to be aware of is that we had a VW van and a family car which both couldn’t fit in the drive, but we found other parking close by

The house is perched on the mountain side with a breathtaking view of the surrounding grandeur. We received a warm welcome from our hosts who took us through the house with a step by step explanation. We are more than happy with our choice. There were bilingual manuals with pictures for everything from the fire place to the fuse box. The house is more than completely stocked with towels, bed linnen, appliances, china and just about anything else we could think of. The beds were excellent and the views from both decks spectacular. The Spa is the cherry on top, placed under a tainted dome we enjoyed both morning and starlight views of the Alpes. Certainly one of the best places we’ve stayed at over the years. 2 thumbs up!

What a fabulous place to spend Christmas. We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful chalet for the 8 days we spent over the Christmas period. We arrived on a Saturday evening. The drive up through the valley and mountain was longer and windier than we expected but the place was easy enough to find. Pre arrival details were very clear so we were able to access the chalet easily. On entry we were very happy to see that this truly was a home, not just a rental. The place is very well equipped throughout, coffee machines, TV, cooking utensils... I could go on. We brought with us a large amount of food to cook Christmas dinner and we were able to do this in its full glory. The bedrooms are traditionally decorated and have enough space for luggage. The bedroom and bathroom suite downstairs is more modern but ideal. It’s bright and clean and we enjoyed the hammam shower. The views from the balcony are outstanding. We also enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub with the doors open to enjoy the picturesque mountains opposite. Col du Corbier is very quiet. We went to the little restaurant a couple of times which is only a 5 minute walk away. The chalet is ideally located to travel to Chatel or Morzine. We went to both for skiing during our stay. We were lucky that the roads were free of snow but I would recommend a 4x4 vehicle and snow chains during the winter season. We would definitely return to this beautiful place. Hopefully summer time as well as the winter season. Thank you for allowing us the use of your chalet. We will certainly be back!

My family stayed here for a week in March 2018 having stayed there in 2016. The cottage was great. It was warm and cosy despite the cold weather. An ideal place for a family to base themselves while exploring the area and local ski resorts. The snow conditions were the best we have ever experienced in 10-years of visiting the porte du soliel area. In winter snow chains are essential in getting up and down the mountain and also to access the drive leading to the cottage. The hot tub with views across the mountains is the icing on the cake! :-)
