Chalet Matterhorn

The chalet had a really good location and set up and amenities. When we arrived it was not properly cleaned and the check in was a bit of an issue. The team was very responsive and they asked the cleaning team to come back in short notice.

we were there with three families with children and could enjoy a nice stay. The house was suitable for us and we were helped well by the team. the only downside was that it was only superficially cleaned upon arrival

With the exception of the conditions related to cleanliness, otherwise in line with expectations.

The basic facilities of the chalet are good - 8 bedrooms, hot-tub, sauna, cinema room, table-tennis, ok kitchen etc. but it was let down by a couple of fundamental flaws. The walls of the chalet (especially up around the bedrooms) were so thin you could hear people whispering through them. So with 3 families with kids that was very loud/hard for people to get space/quiet! Also - the dining area - although a good size was very enclosed with all hard surfaces so with 15 people in there having dinner it was unbearably loud! Add to that the chalet was under-invested (bits were falling apart) and not especially clean so not highly recommended. CVR team were very responsive and communicated well and gave us an extra clean in the week as compensation for the cleanliness on arrival which was appreciated.
