CHALET, Villar d'Arène, Pays de la Meije/col du Galibier, Ecrins National Park

Location fabulous and able to eat outside with views up the romanche valley with its dramatic peaks. Also very close to great walking opportunities (eg Le Meije) and cycling (cols de lauteret and Galibier are very close. Inside house is a bit tired. Kitchen a bit small and not well laid out but living space good. We were just 2 people. Plenty of room for 4 but 6 might be a challenge downstairs. Decor a bit shabby downstairs and bathroom is old with only bath and shower attachment with no curtain or screen so can't shower too easily. All that said this is quite a bargain especially if you are a party of 4+ so can't be too critical of the facilities. All the basics are there and with good weather you will be mostly outside which is where this place scores highest. Overall we had a great time.
