Chalet with panoramic views, quiet location, garden, and within walking distance of downtown – Cauterets (10 people)

This is a great gite. As others have said, its up quite a few steps, but not a silly amount, and once you are in the gite its a lovely view over Cauterets. And the gite has everything needed. The gite was clean, and the owner was very helpful. He even offered us the same week next year for free (or a week at the end of this season) as we had to leave after 2 days this time due to the COVID-19 and the lockdown. Thats a very generous offer. So thank you very much M. Bergeret We go to Cauterets quite often for skiing and walking, and this will now be the top place to stay is there is a group of us. I highly recommend this accommodation.

The gite was in a great position on the hill with superb views. It was lovely to sit outside in the sun. It was handy to the shops. We didn’t mind walking up the stairs to reach the gite. Most streets in Cauteret are steep. We were surprised to see that the gite lacked basic amenities such as cleaning materials, spare toilet paper, spare garbage bags, soap in the bathrooms, tea-towels and bath mats. We did supply our own sheets and towels but had expected these other things to be supplied, as they are in most rental properties. The beds were comfortable but the seats in the living-room were not. Overall we were happy with our stay. With a bit more attention to detail, the gite could have been wonderful.
