Character villa, privileged location in a Mediterranean village

What a charming house situated in a quiet village with good facilities. Bedrooms and bathrooms immaculate. Host, very accomodating.. Will stay again in the future. Thankyou for making our holiday so pleasant.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It’s a beautiful family home with excellent accommodation for our family of 4 adults and 1 child age 4. The house is very well equipped with everything necessary for our stay. It was spotlessly clean with plenty of fresh linen towels available. The house is furnished with lovely traditional furniture. Needless to say, it was very hot whilst we were there and the swimming pool was a life saver! There are sunbeds and plenty of shade provided by shrubs surrounding the pool. We enjoyed meals on the deck area which is shaded by a lovely mature grapevine which is trained over a trellis. In the evenings we were entertained by lizards hunting insects under the outside lights and were visited by 2 kittens hoping for titbits! There are nearby sandy beaches and beautiful towns to visit. Roquebrun is highly recommended - a lovely picturesque town with river walks and canoeing and pedalloes available. There are also plenty of good restaurants and vineyards there along with artisan gift shops. We strongly recommend this property!

Really lovely villa with great pool and garden with stunning views. Shops and vet only a few minutes drive away. Perfect base for exploring the countryside and quaint villages or just relaxing by the pool. Would definitely recommend.

This gite was just a we expected. It was spacious in it's own secluded grounds with the swimming pool and A C in the lounge. Jean Paul was waiting for us when we arrived and took us through the house and explained everything we would needed. Jean Paul had also prepared a folder with maps and places of interest for our holiday, We were able to take all our meals outside due to the vine shading the patio area by the kitchen door, which also had an amazing view over the valley. The kitchen was very well equipped, the only thing missing was oven gloves, which wasn't a problem. We also used the Bar-B-Que extensively. We found that the gite was situated perfectly for our holiday activities. We had days out exploring the beautiful villages and going up into the mountains, or going into Beziers for culture and shopping. Where our younger member of the family was able to enjoy kyacking, cycling and swimming in the Mediterranean. We all enjoyed tasting the wonderful wines that are produced in this area, with the kind and informative conversations. We had a fantastic holiday in this gite and the beautiful area. We had a lovely stay at Jean Paul’s Villa and would recommend to anyone! The villa was very clean and had everything you require, it was like ‘home from home’. It was just my boyfriend and I, so great for couples, loads of space being 3 bedrooms and 3 toilets, perfect for families. The views are breath-taking, looking over the valley and vineyard fields – so nice to see the tractors in the fields. Very pretty villa, with beautiful shutters, outdoor pizza oven, olive trees in the back garden, lovely seating areas outside, both on the patio area or on the upstairs terrace, beautiful when the sun sets and watching the little villages light up at night in the distance. We stayed here for 2 weeks and didn’t want to leave! We went Kayaking, visited Gorge d’Heric to swim in the rock pools and sunbathe on the rocks, visited the beautiful medieval village of Saint Guilham le Desert, went wine tasting at ‘le Chateau de Perdiguier’ near Beziers – definitely recommend!! You can go on an agro-forestry tour of their aromatic herbs, vineyards and bee hives all on the back of a trailer ride, such fun. We visited Chateau Cassan Abbey in Roujon, which has only recently reopened to the public, we would definitely recommend the Saturday Market in Pezenas, gorgeous theatrical arty town. If you want to visited a fishing town, either Sete or Meze, we preferred Meze, a little less industrial. The villa is in a great location, with a Pizzeria and restaurant in the village, two supermarkets in the neighbouring village of Magalas, plus a Boulangerie/Patisserie. Oh and the double garage is wonderful, great for the car to keep out of the heat. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your villa, we had a really lovely holiday with great memories.
