Charm, romance and Spa to relax in the heart of the Pays d'Auge

Very nice accomodation like from a good book. The guesthost Didier and his wife Monique did all the right things to give support comfort and a nice stay. Definitly a suggestion if you’re looking for a nice and calm location to explore Normandy

Didier is a wonderful host for his visitors. Correct, superfriendly and with a heart for his domain! The accomodation is just a 10/10, a very personal, astunishing interpretation of a typical Normandic cottage. Will cole back with the whole family

I stayed in this old calvados/cider brewery which has been beautifully renovated and turned into a lovely cottage in Tordouet in the heart of the French countryside. The views out into the grounds are amazing - very light; was exceptionally clean and Didier was an amazing host and who spoke good English. The bed was very comfortable and the cottage had a full size bath (unusual for rental accommodation) with a small kitchen but everything in working order and all the kitchen utensils required. There is onsite parking for your car and to supermarkets in the local village a few kilometres away. This property has the advantage of a separate spa with hamman and hot tub all very tastefully created so you feel part of the countryside. It is very rare to find such a gem where the description matches the property so well. Very romantic/comfortable for a couple and possible for teenage children in second bedroom (but ladder up requires a teenager climb up the ladder). Highly recommended!

We stayed at the little cottage for a week and it was wonderful and peaceful! The cottage was absolutely beautiful and cosy! Unfortunately due to the bad weather the hot tub was out of action but this was not a problem and was communicated before we came, Didier was an absolutely outstanding host and we had an amazing time and would definitely come again hopefully with family to share the lovely experience again with them.

We've just come back from this little piece of heaven and can honestly say it is one of the best holidays we've ever had. It is a truly magical place run by delightful hosts. We stayed in La Bouillerie which is a gorgeously romantic little cottage- the furnishings are lovely with do many hand finished touches everywhere you look. Views are stunning and you will enjoy the most wonderful peace and tranquility in a wonderful setting. The spa is a delight and Didier and Monique are superb hosts- both so knowledgeable about the local area with great tips about what to do in the region. Didier is a true craftsman and you see his wonderful touches throughout the properties. The nearby town of Orbec is super charming and has everything you need- lots of lovely artisan foods and wine and with wonderful local people to match. It's a wonderful place to visit any time of the year. We stayed for the period between Christmas and New Year but we're dying to return in the Spring and possibly summer as well! We'll be back for sure. You couldn't as for more from a holiday and I can't recommend this place highly enough. Book today!
