😊: Prompt meet-up as the owner lives very close, the host showed the apartment.. 😢: The host was nice in person, but when messaging about different details after the booking - this was the worst customer experience I've ever had, from dozens and dozens of stays over the years. They don't clearly specify some extra charges, e.g. the cleaning fee, and it was a surprise after the booking was made (which was non-refundable). And when we were messaging back and forth when I was just telling them that they should be more transparent that there are additional fees and how much, the host was clearly annoyed and even said that I was abusing him and the deal was great. It was a shocking experience to communicate with the host. Do not expect any decent level of customer service. And prepare for hidden fees that you will learn about only after the booking. In-person - the host was nice, but messaging was a different story, And the fact that they hide the additional fees is bad. I am perfectly fine with paying extra for the cleaning, but be transparent so people know what to expect, they have a travel budget to plan when they make the booking..
