Charmant gite Obernai centre 4 personnes

Laurent the host was a star. It was his day off so collected me from station which was hugely appreciated. Studio is as it presents it self on line. It can be a little dusty up above the tops of the timbered houses but what a spot. The lift also is much appreciated. It’s very quiet for being right in the middle of town and slept well Everything is here in Obernai. Station close, supermarket just a little further and plenty of restaurants and the like. Laurant went above and beyond his host duties and one night when the last train back from Colmar was cancelled. At 8 pm he drove 44 klm their to pick me up. My hero for sure. I cannot thank him enough.

Laurent and Fabienne's studio was perfect for us. It is ideally situated in the centre of Obernai yet tucked back from the main street and therefore surprisingly quiet. There is free car parking for about 50 cars within 100 yards to the rear of the property which is always pretty full but we managed to find a space there 6 days out of 7. There are other free options a few minutes walk away from the studio. The studio is adequately equipped for a couple ( no toaster ) and light and airy with a lovely balcony from which to admire the local storks nest! Laurent speaks very good English and he and Fabienne met us on arrival in town to direct us to the parking and help us into the studio. They were excellent hosts and we would have no hesitation rebooking this property.

Accueil parfait par un couple d'heureux propriétaires d'un petit bijou au cœur d'Obernai ! Magnifiquement décoré, on s'y sent comme chez soi ! Endroit calme situé au fond d'une petite impasse. Tout était parfait et nous y reviendrons certainement ! Encore un tout grand merci à Fabienne, Laurent sans oublier leur adorable Inès d'avoir contribué à ce que nous puissions vivre ce superbe moment de "regroupement familial", c'était méga top ! Alexandre, Bénédicte et leurs enfants.

This was our first visit ever to Obernai, and we were delighted to have found this apartment on HomeAway. The apartment is just as pictured is perfectly located to walk everywhere - we loved it! The balcony is wonderful, too - we enjoyed a glass of wine at the end of each day and coffee every morning outside. (And yes, we were lucky to have such nice weather!) The hosts are wonderful - very inviting informative. They gave us great restaurant recommendations as well as suggestions for sightseeing in Obernai and along the Route des Vins d'Alsace. There is a great 15-20 minute walk around the ramparts of the town -it's slightly elevated and gives one a really nice feel for the old town. We found Obernai to be warm, friendly, very lively - we only wished that we had booked a longer stay!! Thank you, Fabienne Laurent, for sharing your wonderful apartment with visitors!!

Sehr schönes, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Appartement mit wunderschönem Balkon. Für die Nähe zur Stadt angenehm ruhig. Die Vermieter Mme.et M. Schmitt beantworteten all unsere Fragen im Vorfeld sehr zeitnah und äußerst liebenswürdig. (Merci!) Bei unserer Ankunft in Obernai empfingen Sie uns sehr herzlich und gaben uns Infos zur Wohnung und zu Obernai (Stadtplan, Restaurant, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten...) (Merci!)
