Charmant moulin dans un emplacement idyllique

We really enjoyed our stay. The mill has plenty of amenity and is in a wonderful and secluded setting. There was plenty to occupy ourselves with in and around the mill. Whilst secluded it was also conveniently located for the shops and days out.

This was a return to a dear old friend. We love Le Moulin and its wonderful setting. It is unique in affording such blissful absorption in the majesty of a quiet verdant valley with a river and streams. You have it all to yourself. The trees, plants and meadows are truly astounding. The wildlife is plentiful - hundreds of butterflies every day, frogs in the mill pond, kingfishers darting along the water surfaces and the sound of birdsong everywhere. On this occasion we were lucky enough to see a stag crossing the river just by the house very early in the morning. The property itself is a wonderfully restored old mill house. It evokes ages long past and yet it has all the comfort and beauty that anyone could want. Each room is perfectly and lovingly appointed. The views from the windows take your breath away. We cannot wait to return again next year.

We have just spent two idyllic weeks in this beautifully restored mill house. It is set in its own valley where a river and many streams flow. So there is the wonderful sound of running water everywhere, as well as much bird song. On the floor of the valley are meadows of long grasses and wild flowers with many butterflies. On the sides of the valley and along the riverbanks there are lovely mature trees. Around the house there is an extensive garden with different characterful areas including a mill pond, an old ruined barn, a waterfall, an arbour and a swimming pool. The great glory when we were there were all the beautiful roses and their captivating scent. For us, it was the most idyllic of places.

We had the most marvellous week at le moulin de parrot. The mill has everything you need, from a well stocked kitchen to kids games in cupboards. We were 4 adults and 4 young children. The pool and river were fantastic - although the pool is just out of sight of the main house there is a safety gate at the top of the stairs and even a pool alarm so it always felt very safe. Our children adored the interesting books and playthings they discovered. A highlight for everyone was catching crayfish in the river! As the house was so great we didn’t venture too far afield but enjoyed exploring the villages on the river Tarn and had a great lunch at the Restarant Selvoir 10 minutes north of the mill. Everyone we encountered without exception was friendly and helpful and very forgiving of our terrible attempts at French . Barbara was a wonderful host and very prompt with questions and attention to detail and Josephine who helped us there also very welcoming. Thank you! You can sense the love and care that has gone into transforming this incredible building into a family home, and it felt very special to feel part of it for a week. We’ll be back.

Le moulin de Parrot est un lieu d'exception ! Ces 2 semaines sont passées à une allure folle tellement le cadre est enchanteur. Au milieu d'une superbe région, toute la famille (parents et 3 ados entre 12 et 17 ans) ont été conquis par la magie du site. Bien sûr, la piscine et la rivière ont été très précieuses avec les fortes températures. Un excellent accueil de la part de Barbara et aussi de Jocelyne et Jean-Louis avec qui nous avons eu grand plaisir à discuter. Nous reviendrons, c'est certain !

We've just returned from what we all agree is our best holiday ever. The Moulin is stunning, and can only be rivalled by it's incredibly beautiful setting. The river, millpond, meadows and woods provide endless beauty and activities. At times we grabbed a sturdy stick and set off along the river to seek adventures. If in a more sedate mood, a seat by the kitchen window counting crayfish below might be in order (I think our record was 7 in view at the same time, but we weren't really trying you know!). Plenty of previous reviews detail the important stuff so just a brief reiteration: The moulin is both practical and beautiful, and achieves that balance wonderfully. We cooked a lot of meals there, and every pot, pan, whisk, jug, grater, peeler etc you might need is immediately to hand. The rooms are all picture postcard perfect and radiate the 100s of years worth of history they've absorbed. Barbara and Gavin, supported by the lovely Jocelyn and Jean-Louis were fantastic to deal without from booking to departure. When I enquired on our second day to ask if there might be a long extension lead handy, Jocelyn and Jean-Louis popped one round within hours (Barbara and Gavin: my "portable cinema worked perfectly, and we enjoyed several films under the stars. Thanks for again for accommodating). So again - simply the best holiday ever. We would love to return if the Moulin will have us - and the Moulin is the star of the show!

Nous avons séjourné dans cette merveilleuse propriété du 13 au 27 juillet 2019. Le moulin est "dans son jus" coté déco, fidèle aux photos. Il est très très spacieux, bien équipé. Rien ne nous a manqué. La propriété est exceptionnelle : la nature est fortement présente, le passage du GIFFOU est très reposant, la verdure omniprésente. L'espace piscine est formidable (grande piscine, très bien exposée). Très rapidement on a un sentiment d'une forte quiétude. Le calme est très reposant. On a le sentiment d'être seul au monde !!! L'emplacement est également très stratégique : la localisation centrale du lieu permet de découvrir très facilement l'ensemble des points touristiques sans faire trop de route. De la préparation du séjour à son déroulement, Barbara est à l'écoute de ses hôtes et est très réactive en cas de besoin. Merci encore. Nous avons retrouvé cette même gentillesse avec l’ensemble des personnes rencontrées aux moulins ou lors de nos visites.

We have a wonderful stay at Barbara's watermill. It was everything we dreamed about. The mill was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The swimming pool was rather chilly but that did not stop us using it. It was peaceful in the middle of the woods with no traffic noise. Barbara was very helpful when we needed her. I would definitely recommend that you stay here. We loved it and will go back again.
