Charmant pied à terre avec cour, aux Baux de Provence

Operative word is “little”, but perfectly acceptable for a couple. Great location for us, might be far away from the fray for some.

Everything a tourist visitor needed from fully equipped kitchen to a clean, hot, strong shower and large comfortable bedroom upstairs. Convenient to downtown and most beautiful Lumiere in France. We’ve traveled to France for years and this is one of best short term rentals we’ve stayed in.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche mit vielen neuen Eindrücken. Sehr ruhige Lage für einen erholsamen Urlaub. Das Haus ist für April etwas kühl, dafür im Sommer wahrscheinlich optimal ( kleiner Außenbereich im Schatten). Sehr hilfsbereite und nette Gastgeberin.

La maison est charmante, possibilité de se reposer dehors dans la cour, l’endroit est très calme, (deux parkings sont à proximité ) tout en étant à 10 mn du village ds Baux et des carrières de lumière, jolie expérience

We liked this place. It has all the basics for a comfortable stay, 5 days in our case. No surprises. Isabelle met us and explained what we needed to know. Very friendly and accommodating. The kitchen is small but has the basics. We cooked several dinners there. The bedroom is up a flight of stairs as shown in the pictures and was not a problem for us. The bedroom is quite large. Overall very quiet as the windows are high end and efficient. Parked in front of the unit on the street, no problems. The climb up to the Village and Citadel from the unit would be challenging for some, I rested quite a bit. You can drive up to pay parking. Les Baux and the Lumiere are amazing and it is easy to see why it is such a major attraction. The location was ideal for us as we used it as a central location for exploring the region, Avignon, Arles, St Remy and numerous small villages where we were able to get supplies. And finally, it is in a historic location, the Pavilion of Reinne Jeanne!

Everything is so well arranged and situated. It is a beautifully converted 'bergerie' (sheep shed) with all the conveniences of home, plus a magnificent view of the cliffs behind. We sat in the little cour, ate on our little table, sat in the lounge chairs,/ and admired the view. We slept really well in the upstairs bedroom so beautifully decorated in simple Provence style. And Isabelle was impeccable in her helpful hosting. It is also at the center of so many things. The castle itself, St Remy (van Gogh monastery, the Wednesday Provence market), Arles (30m), the Camarage (1h), Pont du Gard (1h), Avignon (<1h). Three superb days there. Thanks!

This lovely, well appointed apartment was in an exquisite courtyard adjacent to a magnificent park and 17th century shrine. It is situated on a quiet street a short walk up the hill to Les Carrieres des Lumieres (fabulous) and the medieval town of Les Baux. We travelled easily around to many sites and towns close by and enjoyed hiking in the trails around this majestic area.
