Charmant Studio

😢: Information into the apartment was slow in arriving and lacking in clarity. On entering the apartment the studio floor was sticky and had stains and black spots by the window. The utensils in the kitchen had seen better days. Parking was easy but didn't let us out without the key fob. That meant having to park our car on the gradient near the gate, retrieve the gate key from the safe outside the room door, get back to the car, drive out the gate, park the car back to the room to return the key back into the safe. We were glad to leave and head towards our next accomodation which already given us all the info we require including WiFi password.

😊: good location,not far away from city center. 😢: Bad comunication with the owner,he agreed our arrival time at 16:00 but we did not had any acces infos until 17:20,and i must called him to get acces codes(keys).

😊: Calm and quiet localization, 15 mins walk to supermarket and same to the Old City. District Plantières Queuleu is very green and has a lot of flowers this is why I highly recommend a walk e.g. to Temple Protestant de Queuleu then e.g. toward Église de l'Immaculée Conception (it's uphill but you'll be rewarded with a beautiful city view). Clean bed linen, big boiler with hot water. Free parking. A lot of TV channels (looks like via satelite, the free ones only).. 😢: First, I asked (and the owner agreed!) to send me the instructions not via Booking but via WhatsApp - but sent via Booking anyway, STRESSING CHECK-OUT TIME THIS WAY. Second, the owner knows I don't speak French but sent me check-in instructions in French, including text on images, so make sure you have an AI handy to translate text from those images. Too many parts of the object are just plain dirty, and the smell of dampness welcomes you (it's not a basement). There are no ventilators to vent it out - the ventilation is only gravitational, (covered hole in the wall to the roof). Toaster is so covered with old dirt that I wouldn't even touch it. The room and bathroom heaters are of a type that has the heating spiral directly exposed to the air, so when I turned one on to dry my laundry - I expectedly got a smell of burning dust. The sink in the bathroom has a "click-clack" cork broken, so water goes down very slowly. If the staff at least tried to rinse it after the previous guest - it'd be impossible to leave it unnoticed. Old stains of water leakage on the ceiling near both of the ventilation crates. No Wi-Fi, and the mobile network signal is quite weak, so use it as an internet detox. Owner's photos were made using wide-angle lenses so the real room size is less than you can expect. It is not worth its 60 Eur..
