Charmant studio Hyper centre

😊: Reasonable value for money.. 😢: This apartment would suit a solo business visitor staying for a few nights. But perhaps this is not the place for entertaining the tourists. This is a criticism of the location and not the apartment. I’d been travelling around France staying in town/city centres and greatly enjoying the evening social atmospheres with bustling friendly people and abundant cafes, bars and restaurants. However on arriving at this apartment the immediate area around it looked grim and very shabby, with a large paved open war memorial park directly in front of it. This park was littered with larger rotting items at its perimeter and it had a lot of weeds growing in-between the paving slabs. It looked very unused and neglected. I was having difficulty walking so I didn’t want to walk far. When I went to look for a meal. There were few people around and some shops in the nearby streets but few places to eat. I found two take-away kebab shops, a very small betting shop/bar and three Turkish hairdressers. It all seemed very dead. Not at all like France..

😊: Very well presented top-floor studio apartment. Apartment was small but perfect for a short stopover in Dreux. Very well maintained and clean. Central location.. 😢: A couple of flights of stairs to the apartment but not a big issue for me. Apartment has an uncovered skylight which allows light in early morning but again not a major inconvenience..
