CHARMANTE MAISON EN PIERRE DE CAEN A 150 M DE LA MER /WIFI /VELOS

As always, the property was impeccably presented and the owner very helpful and friendly. It is a charming cottage in a delightful little town

The property is ideally located in the centre of the charming town of Lion-sur-Mer just a couple of minutes walk to the seafront and the local restaurants. The house is full of character with a lovely, spacious open plan living area on the ground floor and bedrooms under sloping ceilings upstairs. It is well appointed, spotlessly clean and the hosts are a delight to deal with. It was a pleasure to stay here again.

J'ai passe un excellent séjour dans cette petite maison de ville proche de la plage et de toutes les commodités. Bien décoré, propre. Trés bonne communication avec la propriétaire.

Maison à lion sur mer, bien située. Proche de la mer, commerces à proximité pas besoin de véhicule super top ( boulangerie pour le pain frais. Restaurant bord de mer, ptit snack pour les gourmands gaufres, glaces... ) Cette maison est très fonctionnelle, très bien équipée,très agréable, très propre et spacieuse. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et à l'écoutes Je pourrais y retourner avec grand plaisir. Je valide et je recommande cette location.

The property is delightful. It is charmingly decorated and spacious with everthing one could need. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and there is an add on "package" where cleaning can be paid for seperately if you wish. I,s location is ideal too - just back from the beach in a quiet side road. The owner is very friendly and responds quickly to any queries. We had a delightful stay.

The house was beautiful, well kitted out and extremely clean. Anne left us some local cider and biscuits which were lovely. Washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, towels, tea towel, cleaning products are all provided. There are plenty of cups, plates, pans, cutlery, bowls etc and a small freezer compartment at the top of the fridge which we used for freezing cool packs for our packed lunches. The only negative was the sofa which wasn't very comfortable and no washing machine, but on the plus side the shower was great and the bed in the main bedroom was comfortable and there was wifi. The village is quiet out of season and some nights we couldn't find anywhere within walking distance to eat/drink as the restaurants closed early if they were quiet. The supermarket and patisserie are within a two minute walk of the property and provide lots of choice, the beach is also a two minute walk. We were travelling with a baby and Anne provided a high chair, baby bath and travel cot which were all of excellent quality. The property has no parking outside but it wasn't a problem to park nearby. If you are looking for a base to explore the area in a quiet pretty French village this is a wonderful property and we would recommend. However, if you want to eat out every night, or want to go for drinks within walking distance I suggest going to a slightly busier village nearby such as Arromanches des bains or Houlgate (this may be different if you are travelling in the summer season). A deposit of nearly 700 euros is required but we wrote a cheque it wasn't cashed and it was returned when we left. You will be charged an extra 70 euros for the property to be cleaned. Anne kept in touch by email and her friend who met us when we arrived was very kind, she spoke enough English to explain everything to us and even went to buy us a baguette! Having said that we had a wonderful holiday and we would stay here again.

A lovely place to stay. On arrival we were met by a friend of the owner who showed us around the house. We were given keys to the garage where the washing machine is and were allowed to store our bikes. We were given permission to use the beach mats wind break ect that were in the garage. The house had everything we needed and was very clean and tidy. Good location in a quiet street but easy walking distance for all Lion Sur Mer has to offer. There is no parking in the street but we had no trouble finding spaces around the corner. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay and we hope to return.
