Charme, calme, intimité. Un grand gîte pour 9 personnes, avec piscine privée

Wer ein schönes altes Landhaus sucht, am Ende einer Sackgasse, quasi ohne Verkehr, mit einem blumigen Garten und einem wirklich super Pool von 5x11 m und 1.90 Tiefe! der wird hier fündig. Im nahen Bergerac gibt es zauberhafte Restaurants, Eisdielen und Crêpes, einen schönen Markt und Produkte direkt von den Erzeugern. Man hatte noch vieles mehr unternehmen können. Wir hatten so eine traumhafte Woche.

The house has been renovated to a high standard while retaining internal charm with beams, stonework etc. Pool is pretty large and garden provides plenty shade and space for games. The location is very hidden away, and while a car is essential to get even a croissant, local roads provide plenty of options for morning runs. Nearby we found excellent zipwires, canoeing, restaurants (Bergerac, Mussidan) and markets (esp Perigeux).

We loved this quaint rural house. Ideal for the five of us and our dog. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. The pool was clean and well maintained and being able to eat out on the terrace was just wonderful. We loved the character of the house. Very rural French and though elements were a bit dated satisfied our needs. Catherinne was a love host and left us to our own devices. We visited Bergerac and Perigeux. Had an exceptional lunch at L'Imperfait and wonderful dinner at Le Tour Des Vents. Be prepared to travel a little as the situation is remote but the benefits of delicious peace and quiet were worth it. We also went kayaking at Mussidan and we did some running. Just a great holiday for all the family. Gran at 85, 12 and 22 year olds and the dog all had the best time.

Catherine welcomed us with a tour of the house which was fully equipped which made it very easy just to get some food and then need nothing else for the duration of our stay! The house is well laid out with plenty of seating in both the lounge and dining areas. VERY well equipped kitchen! Outside has a large fully enclosed garden which our dog loved! Lots of room for games of badminton, football, boules etc. Pool area was perfect, shady spots as well as plenty of sun all day. BBQ can be held any day as it is housed in its own room with dining area which was unusual. We visited Bergerac a few times for evening meals which is within easy reach and Mussidan for the food shopping which is just 10 mins away by car. Perfect area for running (as long as you don't mind hills) as the roads are very quiet. We will definitely be returning, thank you Catherine for your hospitality.
