Charming and Fully Refurbished 2 Bedroom Gite on the Charente/Dordogne Border

Where to start...what a beautiful property in an equally beautiful location. From the booking to arriving at the property lines of communication were always welcomed and help was always offered. We arrived quite late and shown into an immaculately warm and cosy gite with all the amenities you could ask for - a lovely welcome basket and a chilling bottle of Rose. We slept wonderfully in a very comfortable bed and actually only saw the gite in its splendour the following morning where we awoke to nothing but tranquility and peace and beautiful surroundings. A short walk from a boulangerie and a ten minute drive to a large supermarket where we stocked up on provisions for the week. A beautiful area with nothing but helpful hosts and French pastries!! Plenty to see in this area with chateaus, castles and a surprising find of an old French Demarcation post from the 2nd World War. Our stay was wonderful and we shall definitely return. Lovely property with everything you need. Lots of space inside and out in a beautiful part of France. Wonderful hosts who clearly want you to have a fantastic stay. Highly recommended.

Notre séjour fut très agréable...<br>#128578; L'accueil des propriétaires très convivial pour se sentir "comme à la maison" . John et Tricia ont été très attentifs durant notre séjour et très ouverts à nos questions. La décoration de la maison et le jardin arboré, tout est aménagé avec goût . Nous avons apprécié également le calme.<br>#128577; L'éclairage extérieur ( manque de puissance) pour prendre les repas du soir sur la terrasse. Il ne manque plus que la piscine😉😉 et ce serait parfait.👍

Nice property, great hosts. Excellent...<br>#128578; The warm welcome from the host. Nothing seem to be much of trouble. The welcome pack was a nice touch. The friendliness and helpfulness of the host. The interior design. Convenient parking. The outdoor area, it would be even nicer in the summer.

The hosts were truly welcoming but unobtrusive. The Gite is excellent the gardens and wood extremely tranquil. Location is perfect for sightseeing and experiencing the Charente. Hope to make return visit.
