Charming Berry Home near Zoo de Beauval & Medieval Loches, Private Parking, Shared Garden

😊: Excellent old cottage set in a rural landscape on a working farm. Some accessible outdoor space to use also. The Gite had good facilities, including aircon, and was very clean and well maintained. The hosts were friendly. Only a 15 minute drive from supermarkets and La Brenne is also very close. Overall, a really nice experience of rural France and would definitely recommend this property.. 😢: Not a dislike of the property but be aware: We booked fairly last minute and probably hadn't read the small print closely enough. You appear to book through another agent "Poplidays" then have to pay a local tax as an extra, this was only around 8 Euros but without it the booking would not be confirmed! Their call centre people spoke excellent English and explained the situation. They also said that we would have to pay a 200 Euro deposit on arrival for damages (this was never collected though). In addition, we then discovered that we would have to supply our own bed linen and towels. This wasn't a problem for us as we hadn't left home and were travelling by car but if we hadn't realised in time it would have been a pain! We were also told that we would have to arrange to collect the key from the hosts with only a narrow time band available. We communicated with the hosts via Whatsapp with the help of Google translate! This was all unnecessary stress as the hosts live next to the Gite and seemed very friendly and accommodating..
