😊: The property/ facilities. It had a secure garage attached to the property, which was important to us as we were travelling on motorcycles.. 😢: Unfortunately the street was undergoing substantial work/ repairs, so there were barriers and rubble in the road. And inevitably we were woken at 8am by workmen using angle grinders and road mending equipment..

😊: The entrance to the property is easy, the front door has an electronic key. You get the code from the owner and it is easy to use. The property is freshly decorated and is clean.. 😢: The communication with the owner was very poor. He came acrross a patronising, not able to listen. And shifting the blame to other including myself rising the issue to him. Sitting in the living room, I was surprised to see the thermometer turning down the house temperature to 16oC! at 22h when I was sitting in the living room. On top of this, this property has a hot water issue. The hot water tanks only heats water at night for 4-5 hours, to about 35 degrees. The water thanks itself is outside the house, in the garage, exposed to the ambient temperature without insulation. As a consequence, there is no hot water when you need to have a shower. When I pointed out the hot water issue to the owner, he accused the electricity company for setting out his his boiler to only heat water once a day, then accused me for expecting bottomless tanks water...not actually realising that people are PAYING him to have the basic thing a house should have: hot water for shower when they wish. It is hard to imagine a family with children on holiday waking up in the middle of fhe night to have a shower, in a paid rental accomodation. From inside the property, there is no way to secure the front door. The front door only has the electronic lock. Anyone with the code, including the landlord, can open the door an access the property including at night when you are sleeping. NOT ACCEPTABLE! One final thing. This landlord will ask you a €500 deposit before you move in. Although this itself is not unusual these days, the information during the booking process is hidden in the small print. You may get stuck if you place a non refundable booking or at the last minutes when asking for the checking information. Many will remember companies using this 20 -30 years ago. When a deposit is required, other landlords do clearly inform you about it when you place a booking. I think in Amiens you will find better options. Decide yourselves if you want to book this property..
