Charming cottage in old character farm near Vaison la Romaine.

Wir haben eine wunderbare Zeit in diesem schönen Ferienhaus verbracht. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Es war das erste Mal, dass ein Franzose ein deutsches Wörterbuch zu Hilfe nimmt, um sich mit uns zu verständigen. Großartig! Wir können dieses Ferienhaus allen empfehlen, die Land und Leute kennenlernen möchten. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder. Vor allem auch wegen Suzanne und Frederic. Ein toller Urlaub!

Our hosts, Frederic and Suzanne, were very helpful, friendly and created a good atmosphere. We felt very welcome. The gite has an awesome view to the countryside. It is well equipped and furnished in typical style " provencal". Sitting under the olive trees and enjoying the views and skies was relaxing and exactly what we wanted.

Charmante, zuvorkommende, hilfsbereite und überaus sympathische Gastgeber in einer wunderschönen Landschaft. Wer Ruhe und ursprüngliche Natur liebt ist hier goldrichtig. Wir hoffen auf ein Wiedersehen im nächsten Jahr.

Das Ferienhaus in Roaix bei Frederik und Susanne an ihrem Olivenberg lässt keine Wünsche offen. Es ist sehr schön gelegen und Frederik als Gastgeber ein ausgesprochen wunderbarer Mensch. Sein Olivenöl schmeckt phantastisch, ein Kauf lohnt sich für jeden Feinschmecker, zumal es auch biologisch einwandfrei hergestellt wird. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Wir fahren bestimmt wieder zu Frederik und Susanne, wenn wir nach Frankreich fahren, auch wegen der herrlichen Provence, welche man von Roaix aus gut erkunden kann.

Firstly the owners are superb - exceptionally kind and considerate. Couldn't ask for more lovely hosts. The gite was in an idyllic setting with glorious views all around. Our large private garden was next to the olive orchard, a backdrop of a pine and wood and a view of the vineyards and Dentelles. On clear nights the sky was full of stars, the cicadas sang and the air was perfumed by pine, gorse and lemon verbena! Wow! Roaix is in a great wine area with so many superb wines to be tasted and enjoyed. We also discovered some memorable restaurants. The gite itself was very clean and well appointed. The large bed was very comfortable with really good quality bed linen. It was a superb gite for two and we loved it.

Frederic and Suzanne Bonfils were delightful hosts and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The gîte is well designed and had exactly the accommodation and facilities we needed. All the equipment seemed to be new and the bed was large and comfortable. It was good to have a duvet rather than sheets and blankets. We had lovely weather for most of our stay despite having visited rather late in the year. The wine we tasted from the vineyards of Rasteau, St Maurice, Seguret/Roaix and Visan was all of excellent quality and we filled the boot of our car to full capacity with enough wine to satisfy ourselves and our two daughters for many months. We would love to stay at the same location again if we have the opportunity.

Frederic and Suzanne did a great job of renovating the gite and it is like new; it is well equipped. The outside space is generous, and sunny for most of the day. Frederic and Suzanne are thoughtful hosts and Frederic especially speaks much better English than we speak French! It is easy walk through the vines to the village for bread, and the supermarket has all the basics to save a trip into Vaison. Having been to the Provence many times over the years we know the area well, but River walking in the Toulerenc was new and lovely on a hot day. The gite was one of the best we have stayed at and would recommend it without question.
