Charming cottage in the Loire Valley castles

😊: The property looked a traditional old cottage. 😢: We did not get a reply to our question asked weeks then again days before our stay on whether there was air conditioning or fans. As it was 36 degrees in the Loire at that time my friend and I felt it would be unbearably hot so we had to book an air conditioned hotel the day before our stay. V disappointed. Am sure it’s fine usually but the non communication during this heatwave wasn’t helpful..

😊: Kitchen was well equipped. Good base to travel from. Quiet. 😢: Arrived late afternoon on a cold day, place was freezing inside, beds were not made. Pictures do not show an accurate perspective. Small Toilet off the Kitchen which you can't shut the door if you want to stand up off the toilet, Ladder to the upstairs bedroom very steep and would not be accessible by many. Outside area not useable (thankfully it was too cold) overgrown and unkept. Beds are fold away type and very uncomfortable. No photos of the small 2nd bedroom on website. Quite disappointing!.

😊: Location near to the river is beautiful Washing machine very useful. 😢: Unable to lock the main door to the cottage. Small beds and interesting ladder like stairs - could be difficult for some..
