Charming Gites in Provence, with pool

We’re so grateful to Frederique for a truly wonderful 2 week stay in her beautiful home. She was so welcoming and the property was enchanting. Very quiet but within a 10 minute walk to the bustling town square and Roman village. So many villages to explore within 40 minutes of the home. First but Abdul not our last visit to beautiful Provence.

The property was clean and tidy, with a lovely outdoor terrace. The pool was a welcome relief from the scorching temperatures, and after a hot day sightseeing it was lovely to take a refreshing dip. The gite is located an easy 10 minute amble into Vaison - a bustling market town with all the facilities one could need. There are some quirks - there is only one loo, which is downstairs whilst the shower room is upstairs. There is also no wash hand basin in the loo. Also, the VRBO listing states that housekeeping is included - this is incorrect, and there is a charge of 50€. Additionally there is no mention in the listing that towels and linen are not provided - they are available to rent, which was fortunate because we were already south of Lyon when we were notified of this! Quirks aside, we had a lovely week's stay and can heartily recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our holidays in Vaison-la-Romaine very much. Everything was fine and the big pool with clean and warm water a special highlight! The contact to Mrs. Chol was very pleasant and nice. Thank you very much for everything and many greetings to Vaison.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was everything we hoped it would be. All the modern requirements with a French look. Frederique was lovely and gave us some wine on arrival! We had a relaxing week and our teenager loved the pool to cool down in. The only negative was the mosquitoes, you will need jungle strength spray to keep them from biting you.

Our stay at Frederique's delightful apartment, just an easy stroll from the heart of Vaison la Romaine, was fantastic in many ways: 1)Location- quick access to the heart of town yet quiet, peaceful relaxing, 2)The Place- I'm a designer/builder by training and so have a discerning eye. The light-filled open plan was fantastic. The mezzainine master bedroom above, connected to the kitchen and living room below, all tied to the gorgeous courtyard via windows and French Doors- ooh lah lah, you couldn't ask for more. 3)The Hosts- Frederique and her husband Eric were attentive and responsive. She went above and beyond to call of duty, including taking us all about town on the first day for a great orientation. One relatively minor criticism is that the WiFi was weak everywhere except in the side bedroom. We will absolutely be recommending their apartment to friends and family.

Great welcome by the owner, very nice apartment, well equipped. Close to the village centre (walking distance). A lot of privacy. Definitely a location to go back to. Highly recommended.

Frederique and Eric are the perfect hosts and the house and poo provide perfect Provencal hospitality.

With our family of 4 we had an excellent 2 weeks in this great holiday home in the Vaucluse. Thank you for your hospitality Frédérique! We are looking forward to our next stay.
