Charming house for 6 people in EGUISHEIM - Gîte LIBELLULE

Beautiful home in wonderful location and all amenities one would need.

Pros: the property is clean, properly furnished and equipped with appliances. It has a very pleasant backyard with a table. Cons: The main issue with the house is the lack of thermo-isolation. We stayed at the end of may and the temperature was slightly above average. Two of the three bedrooms are on the upper floor and it was terribly hot there even in the evening. On the contrary - the third bedroom is the basement and it was very cold. Anyway, I would not recommend to stay in the house during May-September, when the whether can be considerably hot. The next issue is the backyard: it is surrounded by neighboring houses and backyards. The distance between them is just a couple of meters, so it is not for those, who needs privacy.

Beautiful place to stay while visiting Alsace region of France. Home was very well equipped. Host was always available and helpful.

We did in the past many many trips and it’s probably the best house we ever had. Owners are absolutely amazing and it’s impossible to ask for more with so many things available. Pretty closed by walking of the old city, the location is just perfect. Impossible to find a house clean as this one , inside and outside. Perfection !!

This place exceeded our expectations! Sandrine was very gracious and welcoming. Everything was exceptionally clean, up-to-date, and well decorated. We were also very pleased to find that we could easily walk to the historic downtown area.

We visited for the Christmas markets in December and had a fantastic stay! Sandrine and Francis were very friendly and provided an excellent check-in. The place itself is lovely - incredibly clean, well-equipped and cosy. Great location too, just a short 10 minute walk to the beautiful centre of Eguisheim and a very short drive to Colmar. I would definitely recommend both the gite and location for anyone wishing to visit the area!

We stayed for one week in July. The house is equipped with everything you need, is beautifully decorated and even has a nice garden. There is only a few minutes walk to the center of Eguisheim, and Colmar is only 6-7 kilometers away. We are keen cyclists. And this is a nice starting point for both cycling the wine trail, or doing the hills of the Vosges. Highly recommended!

This was a beautiful house; very well-equipped and a great location. We were made very welcome and I really recommend this property. Eguisheim is a very pretty village with many places to eat but still close to Colmar with amenities such as supermarkets (and unfortunately for me, a hospital!)
