Charming Period House With Private Heated Pool Nr St Jean D'angely, Charente

Fantastic rural location, the house is full of character and the swimming pool was great and enjoyed by all the family. Would definitely recommend to others...

What a beautiful and spacious house! Everything you need is there. Paul and Jayne are very welcoming and always available for questions. Everything was very clean. Nice beds made on arrival, plenty of towels. Wonderful pool, which provided cooling on hot days. For those who do not like to sit in the sun, there is plenty of shade in the beautiful spacious garden. Quiet location but at 4km there is a bakery and at 15 km there are several department stores where you can find everything. St Jean d'Angély is a very nice town with good restaurants and a beautiful market on Wednesday and Saturday. We would definitely go back.

This is a beautiful place! Peter and Jayne are outstanding hosts, who had regular conversations with us, ensuring we had all we needed for our holiday. They kindly left a lovely basket of goodies which were very much appreciated by us all. With 4 good size bedrooms, there is plenty of space for a family, beds are soft and comfortable, and bathrooms more than enough for the accommodation. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped with everything you could need, and the living area is very spacious. The house is beautifully maintained as well as the gardens, and the heated pool is an absolute joy to have. We had nothing to do but enjoy it, and had the pleasure of seeing our granddaughter learn to swim. If we could give 10 stars we would, and highly recommend this property. Already hoping for a return trip ourselves!

We had an absolutely fantastic time staying at this beautiful property, everything was just as good as we’d hoped and with the fantastic weather we really couldn’t have asked for more. Check in process etc was all seamless and very helpful instructions left to help us using the appliances. Thank you Jayne and Paul!

Lovely and charming property in a remote and rural location. A car is a must with easy access to lots of interesting places....a welcome, peaceful retreat after some busy days! Pool was a lovely addition and the hosts were super responsive! Both the adults and kids had a lovely stay and the weather was great too, not that this can be controlled by the hosts :) but it meant we got the full benefit of the garden and pool.
