Charming restored house 120m2 in listed Priory

Giles was a very helpful host and we loved the pool area, tennis court and the little village with bakery and bar. Definitely recommend

Wonderful! Great family stay for what we needed

Very peaceful surroundings (spacious grounds, river and forest) in a quiet hamlet. The property has a long and interesting history with much original material still to be seen. We had a pleasant stay in a comfortable and spacious house.

This property is amazing. It is an old priory dating back to the 12th century. The grounds are beautiful with a river, large gardens, pool and chickens, goats and geese roaming around. It is extremely peaceful. The pool is large and very warm. The village of Nouaillé-Maupertuis is 5 minutes drive away and has a fabulous abbey, a boulangerie, a co-op and a great restaurant/bar. You can take country walks to the village and south to the village of Nieuil-l'Espoir, which is also lovely. The accommodation itself has some querks but I would recommend staying here as it is definitely one of a kind.

We fell in love with this old Priory as soon as we arrived. It was extremely peaceful. The grounds were extensive with the river running through the grounds. We particularly liked the little chapel & hope that if we return this will have been restored. Our gite was very clean & comfortable. Gilles was a good helpful host. We will go back.

Just needs a deap clean, lovley place but a little gruby
