Charming small renovated air-conditioned gite near the city of carcassonne and canal

Gîte au calme , propre et bien équipé. Le château de Lastour, la cité médiévale de Carcassonne aux alentours, à faire absolument. Je recommande.

Au coeur du vieux village de Capendu, ce gîte, entièrement rénové, est parfait pour un couple. Tout était conforme au descriptif et le contact avec la propriétaire était très cordial. Je recommande

Nous avons été agréablement surpris à notre arrivée par le style de la décoration et la propreté du lieu. Rien n'a manqué pour passer un agréable séjour.

A lovely, very nice and homely, well maintained and very clean property . The owners have been very imaginative with the superb décor. It was well supplied with towels & utensils. The TV could only get French channels though there was a button that would give the original language so we watched some in English. We found the air conditioning a little inadequate as it was 30 degrees +. One of the owners, Etienne, was most helpful, as was Silvette the neighbour Supermarkets and fuel were not far away in the neighbouring town. The property is well situated for reaching many places including the coast and Spanish border, though of course there's lots to visit nearer at hand. Capendu is a nice village with a patisserie, Post Office, local wines and a really good restaurant, within walking distance, at Le Top Hotel which we went to twice. This hotel also has free Wifi. We've lived next to churches since 1987 so were amused to be next door to the one in Capendu! We found the church bell difficult to start with. It would be helpful to have an information folder about the house and the area. We would recommend this property to family and friends mentioning the church bell and the air conditioning.
