Charming townhouse in Amboise - 3 bedrooms with AC, 3 bathrooms

This property was the PERFECT home base to visit The Loire Valley for a few days. All the most significant chateaux are an easy drive from Amboise. This house is situated on charming and quiet pedestrian street. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to Centre Ville and about 3 minutes to walk to Château du Clos Lucé. The house is even nicer in person than in the photos. Vincent, the host, was extremely responsive before and during the visit. It is easy to unload your car in front of the house and to park in a 24-hour free lot less than 5 minutes walking distance. Our party was four adults (one couple and two singles) and it was great that we all had our own bedroom and bathroom. The only caution I would offer is that there is no bedroom or bathroom on the main floor. There is no way to avoid the circular staircases - but then again, there is no way to avoid the circular staircases in all the chateaux of the Loire, either! We definitely would stay at this property again. It was a great value all around!

We loved our experience and Vincent is a wonderful host!! The townhome is very spacious and comfortable. Everything we needed and then some. Walking distance to (2) Chateaus, shops, cafes, bakery's etc. Would love to visit again with a longer stay and enjoy the town of Amboisse a little more. Amazing house and perfect location. Lots of stairs but we knew that ahead of time. Close to everything and lots of free parking. Would highly recommend.

This was a charming home that was very comfortable and convenient for our family of 6 staying there. We appreciated the homey details and provision of games for the family to enjoy. Some of the spaces were a little tight, but that’s to be expected with a renovated historic building. The host was friendly, flexible, and responsive. We enjoyed our time here!

The place was beautiful. They worked hard to keep the charm, but also create a comfortable place to stay. Would stay again!

We really enjoyed this place. It had so much character and was perfect for exploring Amboise and beyond. The "cave like" environment took some getting used to, but it ended up being our favorite place to stay out of our 2 week vacation. Well recommended.
