Charming villa with private pool, illuminated garden and lounge bar 5m from Avignon

The villa was perfect: clean, right size for 5 adults, airy and cool in the hot summer, wonderful pool and garden and very helpful hosts. Couldn't ask for more and we had a wonderful time.

The property itself was fine, the house was lovely with plenty of space and all necessities. However, upon checking in I was asked to pay an additional 50 euro for a cleaning fee that was missed on the original vrbo quote. I did not feel this request was fair but felt I had to pay since we were standing there trying to check in with our bags and children. This interaction left me not wanting to recommend the property. Also, the pool was non operational given the time of year, which was not outlined in the ad.

This home is just a couple off minutes outside the ancient city part of Avignon -- great location. The house itself is even nicer than the pictures. Just lovely. The backyard is also even nicer than the pictures. The hosts were exceptional -- very responsive to our last minute request and super kind and friendly.
