Château d'Humières - Casa Clementine

😊: Good location, the place has a great atmosphere (beautiful castle-like building, animals, peaceful and quiet town)..

😊: Lovely spacious family home. Great loft area for the kids to play and rest. Great location, especially if you wish to visit historical sights. Easy drives to surrounding towns for restaurants/ beaches or shopping. 😢: N/A.

😊: Fantastic location just over 1 hours drive from Calais, so really easy to get to once we got off the ferry. The house is set in the grounds of a chateau with the owner of the chateau on hand to help with any issues we may have. We didn't have any. The house itself is great, with enough room for 2 or 3 families should you wish to stay as a group. On this occasion it was just my wife and I. All creature comforts were catered for. A large kitchen/entertaining space leads into a second large room with sofa , TV, open fire place, and table football, if you so desire. Our bedroom, one of three double bedrooms, was really comfortable, and warm, which was a plus as the weather was pretty cold outside. There is a fourth room at the top of the house, set out like a dormitary with numerous single beds, great if there are several families staying with a number of kids between them. The grounds that the house are set in include fields, some woodland, and various building structures, with an interesting history. There are a number of cats and an Alpaca, 'Snowy', wondering around the grounds which adds to the charm of the place. The Chateau is on the edge of a small village a very short drive from a small town housing a variety of shops, bars, and restaurants, and there is a large supermarket close by. This was a short trip but we really enjoyed ourselves, and our hosts made everything really easy with clear instructions on accessing the property to a how-to guide once you arrive, and information on local amenaties. Couldn't find fault and we are already planning our next stay with extended family and friends. Thank you!. 😢: N/A.

😊: Loved the property, it was ideal for a family fun filled weekend away and at a very reasonable price. Beautiful autumnal walks from the property and we visited Montreuil sur mer too, which isn't by the sea at only 30 mins away and is well worth a visit. The gite is really well equipped and the added bonus of the Wii and table football meant endless hours of fun for young and old. Great communication with both the owner, Guy and on site with Stephan. Would definitely recommend..
