It was a fantastic place to stay. Everyone was bowled over with the charm and quirkiness of the Chateau. There was all the home comforts required by as all. We easily fitted the twelve us in there and we were not under everyone's feet all the time.

A lovely place to stay, great charm with modern comfort. Very authentic!! We loved the (heated) pool. Nathalie was very helpful with our trips. A place to return to.

We had such a wonderful week!! We felt very honored to stay in this beautiful chateau. With a lot of space around the chateau where you can play games or chill at the pool; perfect for a relaxed holiday! Nathalie and her sister were very kind and recommended us a lot of things to do and places to go for dinner.

It was a privilege to be able to stay in such an amazing building with a history going back 1000 years. The chateau is full of character and rustic charm but is also very well equipped with all the modern conveniences - excellent bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. The Pesme sisters made us very welcome and provided lots of help and advice about the chateau and surrounding area. They also prepared a fabulous dinner for us on our first evening (by prior arrangement), which was very welcome after a long journey. We were even taught how to appreciate cognac properly! The chateau pool is in a very attractive setting and was a welcome relief as we enjoyed unseasonally hot weather. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and Angouleme is only a 15 minute drive away. All in all, an unforgettable experience made even more special by the charming owners whose family have owned the chateau for many generations. We hope to return again soon!

If you are looking for a chateau with typical french charm, decor and style then this property will not disappoint. The two ladies who look after it are kind, helpful and have some wonderful stories to tell. They also provided some of the finest cakes we have ever tasted.

Once you enter through the impressive front gate you will be amazed by the romantic garden with beautiful old trees. Imagine enjoying your summer breakfast sitting in its shade, or having your winter aperitif next to the fireplace with the sound of crackling wood. The intimate rooms are in mint condition and during the recent refurbishment all original detailed were preserved. The surroundings are amazing - great for long walks. The two hosts are very hospitable and friendly, and will do anything to make your stay a pleasant and memorable one!
