Charming quirky<br>#128578; Really quirky. We stayed in one of the towers. The bedroom was delightful. Shower excellent, best yet whilst we've been away. Plentiful breakfast and what seemed like home-made jams. The host Laurent was very welcoming<br>#128577; The bedroom was on the first floor and the bathroom was on the ground floor. Bit difficult for a weak bladdered old dear but the stairs were well lit and we managed. Was a small price to pay for such a unique and charming property

Exceptional<br>#128578; On arrival, the Chateau de la Cressonniere it was very impressive. We were greeted by the owner who showed us our room and arounð the chateau. The cleanliness of the place was amazing. We had been travelling for nearly 7 hours. The owner asked, have you eaten. We said no. He cooked us a meal then and there. Again, this was very impressive. He made us feel like royalty. Fantastic stay. We will return in the future.<br>#128577; There was nothing to dislike. It was amazing

An absolute delight<br>#128578; The location suited us as a stopover en route from Bordeaux to St Malo. In terms of the immediate area it is near the village of Vouvant - very pretty, several restaurants, a small supermarket etc - basically everything you need. The chateau - or more accurately, the gatehouse to the old chateau, is a historic building which has been updated but without diminishing the aesthetics of the building , The setting is delightful, especially the gardens and the pool area.<br>#128577; The only downside relates to making use of a mediaeval building in the 21st century. The bedroom doesn't have an en suite! There is a modern bathroom just down a short stretch of stairs. And the breakfast area involves a short walk outside one door and into another.
