Château de la Pervenchère gîte Marin

😊: The remote location was good. We liked the spaciousness of the rooms and the quietness. Peaceful surroundings. The building is very nice.. 😢: The facilities could have been better. Whilst the grandeur of the building was very nice, internally it was disappointing. This was a very mouldy place and required a lot of airing. The internals of the building were poorly finished and the facilities were lacking. Given the grandeur of the building, crockery, wine glasses and eating utensils could have been better quality. There was a full size hammock which was in a very dangerous position and it was not detailed that this was not for use. The hammock could have resulted in a very serious injury yet the owner dismissed our comments. We put our comments regarding the property to the owner after our stay and he dismissed all the points that we highlighted so not very supportive. I had near miss accident with the hammock which could have resulted in a very serious injury yet the location and situation of the hammock was dismissed. The stairs had no safe lighting as the sensor lighting was inoperative. There were broken up radiators behind a screen outside our front door we would have expected these to be moved before our stay. Regarding the mouldy smell, in hindsight we should have complained the moment we walked in the building..
