Château de Lagravade - Appartement 1 chambre - 3eme étage - One-Bedroom Apartment

😊: That you had the whole floor. 😢: We weren’t advised in booking it was at the top of the building. The only lift was for cases etc not for humans.

😊: Unusual property. Well equipped for a short stay.. 😢: Sofa wasn't very comfortable..

😊: The chateau was maintained to todays standards and provided a T2 apartment ion the 4th floor with a modern kitchen, bathroom, air condition and a lift. The lift, which worked flawless to cover the 4 floors looked as if it was still original from 1860 when lifts were invented. Most likely the lift had modern machinery inside. Unfortunately this was the only thing I was charmed about. The rest of the placed reflected at the best a neutral environment, nothing special.. The accommodation was perfect for a stop over but did not provide a feeling like being on vacation or at a special place.. 😢: The chateau is located far outside the village This little village along the main road was disserted, a restaurant was not available. I did not see an outside terrace or garden where one could spent the day, reading a book. This facility was missing or was hidden. The accommodation was just as described, a private apartment in a building. The other negative thing was the fact that the spacious bedroom on the 4th floor had only one roof dormer window of the size of a DIN A4 sheet. It was not charming either. Fortunately an air conditioning unit was available. Arriving from the N21 one had to follow the private road "la Gravade" to the chateau. This road was badly maintained and required some manoeuvres to prevent damage to the undercarriage of the car. On the left one had to pass some buildings which look collapsed like ruins . What ever it was, it looked depressing . Fortunately it did not belong to the chateau., but was not charming either. We were happy when we arrived at the chateau proper. Advice: When stopping over in La Gravade bring your food and drinks with you..
