Château de Montsymond. 10 luxury suites, heated pool, sauna, hammam and fitness

Séjour inoubliable dans un château tout confort bien situé dans une région où nous avons pu apprécier la gastronomie et le bon vin. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très agréables. Nous avons pu admirer les pièces communes du château qui ont été décorées avec goût et talent. Le seul bémol la télévision dans la grande salle "cinema" est sous dimensionné par rapport à la grandeur de cette splendide pièce. Côté occupation tout est là pour combler toute la famille et la semaine est passée trop vite.

Es ist ein wunderschönes Schloss eingebettet in einen grossen Park mit kleinem See. Wir hatten Dank der tollen Infrastruktur wirklich erholsame Ferien! Es hatte für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei! Das Schloss war sehr sauber und der Besitzer, Christophe, ist ein sehr freundlicher, hilfsbereiter und diskreter Gastgeber. Es war für uns ein toller Urlaub!

Our eclectic group of philosophers, psychologists, and artists all gather every year at a castle of our choosing, and we had selected Chateau de Montsymond for our meeting place for the a week in September 2018. As the organizer, I had high hopes for this castle to be not only comfortable for my guests, but also visually beautiful and inspiring. May I say, this place was supremely equipped to be exactly both! First of all, the castle itself is a marvelous spectacle, sending everyone a sense of thrill as you approach it from the shrouding trees. Inside, the kitchen proved perfect for our team of chefs, each bedroom was unique and charming, and there were many beautiful rooms where guests would relax under crystal chandelier with a glass of local wine. Outside, the heated pool was spotless and refreshing, the saunas and gym were a well utilized and relaxing addition, and the grounds were lush with beautiful trees, with the only sounds being the surrounding nature. The property managers were absolutely hospitable and prepared, supplying us with prompt welcome and assistance whenever needed. We selected one of the offered wine tastings from their private cellar, and it was a delicious and informative experience that I would highly recommend for each guest and connoisseur. We are booking it again for next year, and planning to make this wonderful estate a fixture for our regular gatherings! Many thanks to our wonderful hosts for everything! See you soon!

Everything was perfect. The castle is a dream come true, with everything you may desire. The rooms, the furniture, the equipment are all exactly as advertised. Christoph is an excellent host, always ready to solve any little problems that have occurred during our stay. We were 18 persons and had so much fun, that everybody wants to go again next year. I rented the castle for my 60th birthday, and we even made a "bal masque" for which the castle was the perfect setting.

We were privileged to be the first guests in Chateau Montsymond, what a beautiful place. We were a gorup of families with small children and we found this to be the perfect place to enjoy ech others company in luxurious, private enviroment. The pool was warm and the kids spent hours in it. Game room and trampoline were also popular. The kitchen was superb with 2 diswasher. Overall the quality was perfect, the castle beautifully decorated. We enjoyed it so much that we are returning next summer :)!

A large group of us (10 adults and 19 Children) stayed in Chateau de Montsymond for a week at the end of August. To say the property is impressive would be a huge understatement. It has been very recently refurbished by the proprietor Christophe Gay to an incredibly high standard. And as you approach it from the driveway, the sheer size and grandeur of the chateau was truly striking. The layout of the ground floor works incredibly well as a communal area, with a superbly equipped kitchen leading out onto a terrace covered by an enormous parasol, beyond which is a heated pool. The ground floor also has separate pool and poker rooms, and a converted stable with offers steam room, sauna, and gym. Because of the size of the Chateau, the bedrooms (all 10 with en suite bathrooms) all feel nicely detached from each other so feel sufficiently private. The well equipped games room and the cinema from on the top floor make it an ideal large group family break, particularly well suited for children aged 5-12. However, for the parents, Christophe’s superb level of hospitality and wine expertise was a great thing to be able to take advantage of. All guests are invited to his private home in order to share a glass of his wine and tour his wine cellar. For the wine enthusiasts, his cellar is a real joy to experience, particularly as he allows guests to purchase some wines (many of which are rare, old, and very difficult to source) at a discounted price should they wish. I have stayed in a number of chateaus across France now, and none have come near to this level of quality at this price point. Very highly recommended.

Beautiful location, outstanding comfort, high-luxury amenities, wonderful region. We were up to 20 guests and enjoyed every minute of our stay !
