Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour en famille (15 participants) au Château des Essards. L'environnement est parfaitement adapté: piscine, jacuzzi, cabane pour les enfants, pergola sans oublier la forêt qui ceinture la propriété. Du reste, certains ont du faire des efforts pour la quitter et aller visiter les célèbres châteaux des environs (Langeais, Azay le Rideau, Villandry...). Sur un plan pratique, nous n'avons pas de critique à formuler. La cuisine, vaste et bien équipée, répond tout à fait aux besoins et, lorsque nous avons rencontré des difficultés (chaque fois mineures), les propriétaires ont réagi rapidement et avec efficacité. J'ajouterai que nous avons cru bon, au moment de notre départ, de suggérer quelques points à améliorer et nos interlocuteurs ont semblé apprécier cette initiative.

We have just returned from a family reunion for 14 of us at Château des Essards and had a wonderful time! The castle grounds are vast and there is so much to explore and discover there that we did not feel the need to do too many tourist trips during our stay. We can recommend visiting the château in Langeais and seeing the falconry display there. We enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of the property, watching lizards basking in the sun and green woodpeckers on the lawns. We all enjoyed the large pool and luxurious hot tub! Staying at the château was like staying in a museum - the bedrooms were beautifully furnished and everything was immaculately clean. The hosts were extremely helpful in advance of our stay. We would love to go back again if we ever planned such a family event again. Thank you Laurence and Thierry for sharing your amazing home with us!
