We just came back from two weeks at the Cocooning Villa. The property is larger than it looks on the photographs. It is very light and spacious. We were welcomed by the owners who were extremely friendly and helpful. They showed us the house and gave us information on places to visit. They even tried one of the restaurants in the area and recommended it as a great family friendly place for lunch/dinner. Downstairs is spacious living room and dining room area with an open plan kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need to cook a meal. The access to the garage is from the living room which is very handy. We used the garage to hang our washing and to store our lagguage. A washing machine and a separate stand alone dryer are also in the garage. Having a separate dryer was fantastic. We have two small kids and were able to get all our washing done in a couple of hours. Upstairs are 3 good size bedrooms. Two bedrooms have two single beds each and one bedroom has a double bed and comes with an on suite shower. The family bathroom has a toilet and a bath. All bedrooms have external shatters which is very handy if you want to keep the room dark in the morning. It worked well for our 20 months old. Beds were comfortable and all bedrooms are cosy. There are plenty of shelves/ draws and hanging areas for clothes, so you don’t have to live out of a suitcase. There are pillows and duvets, but all bedding and towels come as an extra. The property is kid friendly. There are no stairgates, but we had no problems with our 20 months old. High chair and travel cot are available on request. The internet access was good, we had no problems with watching films and endless episodes of Peppa Pig. The location of the property is very good. Parking is off road (in front of the garage). There is plenty of space for a large car. We walked into town (main town centre) a few times and it took us about twenty minutes. The walk back is uphill, but it’s not too steep and we managed it with a buggy. Great for burning some calories after a meal out. There are three bakeries within 5 minutes walk from the house. There are also two chemists and a small supermarket. Large market is held every Sunday (within 5 minutes walk) selling everything from fruit and veg to cheeses and fish and meats. If you go closer to lunch time, you can enjoy oysters and a glass of wine. Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend this lovely home.
