Comfortable cottage, close to the historic center of Blois and Loire by bike.

The house is ideally located to visit the city of Blois (walking distance, approx. 15 min to city center) with supermarket and bakery nearby as well. Parking is free, and often possible in front of the house. The house is small, but has all the amenities you need for a stay of few days. Cooking is possible, but we have chosen to eat out every day. Bedroom is located upstairs with lot of space for your clothes. Toilet and shower is located in small space, but comfortable, and hot water is available in an instant. Note that there is a very enthusiastic dog walking around, that the owner keeps inside/restrained if you are not a fan of dogs. The location of the house if really fantastic. Blois is a very interesting city, with beautiful royal castle and very nice Houdin museum. The city is also ideally located to visit castles like Chambord and Cheverny, some of the most famous Loire castles – all in 30 minutes driving distance. In addition at 5 min driving distance there is a large shopping center with Hypermarket and all kind of other type of shops. We have enjoyed our stay here.

The cottage was super clean. The beds were real good. The A/C worked very good. The cottage was very light. Had a nice courtyard for drinks. The hostess had a friendly dog we had fun playing ball with. Easy street parking. There is a locked gate for security. Very good location.

Loved that we could walk from the property into the city. The parking is along the street in front of the gîte, but we had no problem parking in front. We rented bikes for 3 days to bike the well marked trails, and were able to store the bikes on the property. The gîte was clean and had everything we needed. We especially were grateful for the air conditioning units on both floors. Would definitely recommend! The owner met us on arrival and was very nice. Although she does not speak English, my husband speaks French, so not a problem. He also liked playing with her German Shepard!

Great base for getting into Blois and the surrounding areas.
