Contemporary house with ocean view in 2 steps of heathland and its trails

Spacious. Bright. Modern. Just as it looks like in the pictures. Nicely located at the end of a small village with both traditional and modern houses in the neighbourhood. The housekeeper was kind and helpful but - as far as I know - only speaks French. So if you do not speak French, make sure to clarify everything upfront with the landlord (who speaks English and is quick to respond to any question or specific arrangements). Reception and return of keys went quickly and without complications. The house itself is pretty well equipped and even basic supplies such as toilet paper, salt/pepper, coffee filters, laundry detergent, barbecue charcoal and lighters etc. were present. (Excellent!) I'd have loved to have bed linen be supplied in full rather than only some parts of it (as we had it) or none at all (as it was advertised). It's always difficult to know, have and bring such stuff in the right sizes. It wasn't a real problem though and the beds themselves were indeed very nice and comfortable. The spacious garden is facing the coastside but is merely a large stretch of lawn. It would definitely benefit from some extra bushes or a tree for some wind and view protection or shade on a hot day. Spectacular sunsets to be watched from the terrace (or even from inside as all rooms have sea view). Small shopping facilies in cycling distance (or even walking/jogging if you allow a bit of time). No beaches close by but some nice sandy ones of different sizes can be reached within 10 minutes by car (either near Point du Raz or in Esquibien/Audierne). The town of Plogoff (to which the village belongs) is rather sleepy but has a nice Creperie, a good bakery (which also serves as a kind of mini market), bank, post office, and pharmacy. The house is ideal for a quite and relaxed stay at the coast and makes an equally good home base for exploring the Cap Sizun region. Good for hiking, cycling or trips by car. We (family of 4) had a very nice one-week stay and will definitely consider booking again if we chose to stay in the Cap Sizun area. Since there's still a little room for improvement we give a total 4 out of 5 stars but this does not imply any real criticism at all. ___________________ In one (German) sentence: Super! Such a wonderful location. Quiet, but close to a beautiful small harbour and a short drive to a number of surfing beaches.
