Converted Barn With Private Pool

We’ve had a brilliant week! The house inside and out is modern with original features and very well equipped. Peaceful location in the countryside but only 20 minutes from bustling and historic Cahors. Loved everything about this property especially the pool and terrace. Didn’t want to leave and will definitely return.

As a 3 generation family group, we stayed for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time in the property. It is a beautiful barn conversion, very comfortable and well equipped with a really good pool and stunning outside lighting. It’s well placed for access to Cahors and exploring the Lot region. We would definitely go there again, Andrew

Had a marvellous week at this excellent property. Really liked the design of the house, and the pool area. The owners were very helpful in providing information to help us enjoy our stay. The local area is full of places to explore.

The villa was fabulous, it was authentic and beautiful with a modern twist. With all essentials provided for in every room, from Wi-Fi to sky, from plug adaptors to games and puzzle as well as a fully functioning kitchen, it was a real home from home. Nothing has been missed outside either, with both gas and charcoal barbecues, parasols and seating all around the pool it really is the most glorious of places to relax in, in what can only be described as 5-star comfort. Nothing was too much for the owners who were always happy to answer any questions and help with directions and recommending the best restaurants and attractions to visit. I would highly recommend this holiday home villa and look forward to returning in the future.

Our stay in this beautiful converted barn was everything described on the site and much much more. The surrounding area is just beautiful. The barn itself has everything you could wish for and more. The lower level allows direct access to the pool and garden. The open plan kitchen and living area on the upper level has been cleverly designed, it really does have the wow factor. We just loved sitting out at night listening to the crickets and owls, it was so peaceful. The owners show a genuine interest for their guests, before and whilst on holiday. A few weeks before our holiday we received a detailed information pack, including directions, local information and even recommended dog walks!! In conclusion, we had a fabulous stay and would have no hesitation in recommending this property. The only downside was leaving!!

From the very first contact with owners Sarah and Richard online through to our arrival at "Haute Terre" our experience was warm, genuine and friendly. Every detail has been thoughtfully organised so we knew exactly how to get to the property and find supermarkets, local shops and more. Haute Terre itself is very tastefully and comfortably furnished and so spacious it truly felt for the week we were there, like a "Home away from Home". The Pool was a welcome relief after the fabulous sunshine and hours spent lazing around the pool getting the best tan I've had in years! We made full use of the BBQ and dined outside frequently... It's location is superb and we made two day trips to Cahors and to Saint Circ Lapopie, we could have done so much more but I found it hard to drag myself away from what was the most relaxing/de-stressing holiday ever! All you need for a wonderful holiday: the house, the pool, the surroundings, everything was just perfect! We are a family of five spending two weeks at Haute Terres, and we all loved it. There is so much to see and to do in the region, or just relax at the house. You cannot ask for more! We will love to come back.

This property was all it promised to be and more. I would have no hesitation in recommending it. We travelled as a family of 4 including our two sons (20 &16) needing a real break and we were able to unwind and restore ourselves! We had wall to wall sunshine so the pool area was just perfect for us. We had lots of BBQs with delicious food bought at the market in Cahor. Locals shops are a 15 minute drive away where you can get fresh bread, meat, fruit and vegetables. We canoed, walked, swam, star gazed, visited villages and a chateaux. The owners were very helpful and easy to contact.
