Corsican house perfect for hot weather between Monte Cinto and Calacuccia Lake

On a passé un séjour parfait dans cette belle maison, tout était bien préparé, propre et l'équipement de la cuisine était totalement satisfaisant. On a bien apprécié le bassin dans le jardin pour se rafraîchir les pieds après nos randonées. Les enfants ont utilisé la table de ping-pong et le terrain de pétanque. Le lieu calme et recommandé pour les amateurs des montagnes. Merci.

Superbe propriété au calme et bien située pour les amoureux de la montagne. Nous étions trois couples avec nos ados. La maison est fonctionnelle et propre. Un jardin avec un terrain de pétanque apprécié pour les fins de journée ainsi que le petit bassin pour se rafraîchir les pieds après nos randonnées. Endroit recommandé si vous aimez faire des activités ou tout simplement la sieste. Pour nous ,nous avons pu faire un peu de rando comme le lac Nino à partir de la maison forestière, superbe rando magnifique. Le canyon Ruda jolies descentes en rappel et un peu de paddle sur le lac de callacucia. Si vous recherchez le calme loin des plages et des touristes c'est votre lieu de vacances , les seuls voisins rencontres étaient nos amis les vaches et les cochons. Ca surprend mais on s'habitue.

This holiday home is fantastic! I would highly recommend it to hikers and families. The house is spacious with all the necessary equipment you need and more. There are hiking sticks to use, jeu de boule balls, dvd's, books and information sheets on the area. The house is clean and very pleasant. There are two large terraces. One with a large dining table and one with loungers and views of Monte Cinto. While laying down you frequently see kites flying over. In the large garden filled with beautiful chestnut trees, there is a natural pool and a jeu de boule court. The rain and thunder we had did not allow us to go out a lot, but in a house like this it is no problem. The contact with the owner was very pleasant. He always responded by sms immediately to all my questions and a couple of times he asked us (unsought) if everything was allright. This concern makes you feel at home and adds to the pleasure of the holiday. Thank you Jean for your good care.

Charming house in a peaceful village with relaxing, beautiful views of the mountains. Everything is there to spend a holiday worthy of the name. We felt like home. The kindness of the owners is also to be emphasized. They recommended some fantastic restaurants and activities around the village. They have everything organized to facilitate our stay. We recommend this rental!

The Rose House was our favorite. We had a fantastic time. The owners were very approachable and responsive and immediately gained our trust. The house and the garden were exactly as in the pictures. The accommodation was very comfortable, well maintained and perfectly equipped. Location in the mountains and old granite walls allow you to enjoy a cool night after a long hot day under the Corsican sun. The house has a large bathroom with a big window on the ground floor and a smaller one near the bedrooms, a large kitchen with a dining table, several terraces with different functions and a cosy living room. It is very well located, above the small village Poggio di Lozzi on the southern slope and on the hiking trail. The shops (post office, bakery, cafes, self-service) are 2 minutes by car, in Calacuccia. What pleased me the most is a vast garden, very intimate and only available to us with a petanque game under the old chestnuts, a terrace at the edge of a natural pool with running water from a mountain spring, ping-pong and table soccer. Poggio di Lozzi is a peaceful relaxing village with a fantastic view of the mountains. The area is beautiful and there are many attractions: several natural bathing areas in the river, the possibility of swimming in the lake, canyoning, tree adventure park, mountain bike trails, marked hiking trails, restaurants and a bar. The trip to the beach in Lozzari takes around 50 minutes, but natural sources in the mountain river are just minutes away. There are many things to do here! We will surely come back this year to spend the holidays with family and friends!
