Cottage, 4 étoiles . Avec Piscine , au coeur du Centre Val de Loire..

This is a wonderful place to stay, close to Orleans and within easy reach of both towns and countryside. The gîte was clean, very well equipped and the owner friendly, welcoming and helpful. The villagers were also friendly and forgiving of our French!! The swimming pool at the gîte was a high spot for us all and we swam every day. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

The Gite is in a lovely rural part of France with many interesting places to visit. It is within 2 hours of Paris by car and train so a visit is certainly achievable. The owner Gilles is extremely friendly and helpful with many ideas of places to visit. The pool was a brilliant place for our Grandchildren , and as it was covered, was warm even on a cloudy cool day. The Gite is beautifully decorated and has everything needed for a great , relaxing holiday. The garden is huge and a great place for children to play, and it has a good number of seats and sun-loungers. All in all we had a brilliant, relaxing 3 weeks.There are large supermarkets in Pithivier about 10 mins away by car.

We all had a very relaxing and enjoyable time. Our hosts were very helpful but unobtrusive. Local regional homemade cake and local wine was excellent. Outside spaces were great. Only minor issue was WI-FI which was intermittent. Fantastic place!!

séjour merveilleux en famille avec un accueil des propriétaires très chaleureux qui donnent beaucoup d'informations très utiles. Une petite recommandation si vous y allez avec des enfants en bas âge il y a une petite mare il faut bien les surveiller, le jardin est magnifique ainsi que la piscine couverte avec une propreté impeccable.

Un accueil chaleureux, des hôtes très gentils et serviables, une maison très bien aménagée, équipée et apprêtée avec goût, une piscine juste géniale, nous avons passé un séjour de rêve! Un vrai havre de paix pour un séjour inoubliable, avec de la place, du calme, une piscine privative chauffée et sous abri fermé, que du bonheur! Et Luisella et son mari sont juste adorables, présents lorsqu'il le faut et discrets le reste du temps... Bref, nous avons A-D-O-R-É!

A lovely clean house that contained everything you may need. Good selection of DVDs and very good WiFi. A nice welcome was made by owners who left drinks and a homemade clafoutis- delicious. Rooms were very comfortable and a spacious garage to keep the car out of the sun. The garden was big and pool was lovely. The location is quite remote- 10 min drive to nearest shop but a good location for exploring larger towns within 1 hr drive. We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Thank you.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It was easy to find using google maps even though it was right in the middle of many French farms. Very quiet and peaceful. The host was there to greet us and show us all around the property. It is beautifully traditionally decorated with all the things you would need for your holiday. There is ample parking, a garage and a patio with two seating areas. Round the back is a large garden with covered swimming pool. Just like the photos. It is rather remote with no shops within walking distance but we did manage to visit Orléans, Château de Chambord, Tours and Amboise by car. Supermarket and petrol stations approx 10 mins away. A very pleasant holiday. Merci beaucoup!

Once past the unprepossessing rusty metal gate, this property which has been beautifully converted from an agricultural building, looks beautiful. There are roses and wisteria climbing around the doors and an outdoor table with comfortable seating for six, perfect for breakfast. There is a garage, which was big enough for our eight - seater car, but as the front gates were secure we rarely used it, making access to the rubbish and re-cycling bins easier.There was ample space to park it in front. Downstairs, the living/dining area was a good size for 8 large (as in tall!) adults and our well - travelled Dalmatian, with plenty of dining chairs and easy chairs and a full range of crockery and glassware. The sleek fitted kitchen was easy to work in and although there was not a lot of worktop, the level of equipment (two sorts of coffee maker, food processor, electric mixer, Moouli-grater, electric kettle and toaster, large fridge and modern cooker) made food preparation a pleasure. I have some walking difficulties, so the ultra-modern wet-room and bright, large downstairs bedroom opening onto the patio were much appreciated.The upstairs bedrooms featured roof beams and dormer windows, but there were few complaints of banged heads from my 6ft plus family! One of the reasons for booking this house was the covered and heated swimming pool, a short distance away through the garden.We used this pretty much every day of our stay and it was even warm enough to sit out on the patio to dry off afterwards (in late October!) We arrived after being stuck in a 2 hour traffic jam in Paris, with my husband having driven for much of the last hour due west into the (gloriously) setting sun. The car was full and everyone was cramped, so we were not at our best, but the welcome from our host's friend was friendly, helping us to recover.This trip was a family celebration for mine and my husband's 60th birthdays, so we were delighted to be greeted with a bottle of Loire sparkling wine and a local speciality gateau (Fondant de Pithiviers) which were delicious. Our hots were friendly and helpful. We had a great stay, visiting local towns and chateaux, then returning for a swim and a convivial meal, conversations and a game or two of Monopoly in French. Only drawbacks were that there is no bread shop (or indeed any shop) within walking distance and the local countryside is rather flat and featureless. Be warned if staying in winter, top-up electric charges do apply!
