Cottage/Gite with contemporary design.House with character fully equiped.

Really lovely property, quiet and peaceful and so dark at night. The cottage was really well equipped and everything worked really well. The owners were super friendly - thanks so much for the jam (we ate a lot of lovely French bread and jam) and for the strawberries - I’ve never had such tasty ones.

We had a wonderful stay. The property was spotless and extremely comfortable. We particularly loved how quiet the area was but how quickly we were still able to get to local towns. The Wednesday market is Bergerac was a particular highlight.

Nous logions dans la Grange Haute, un gîte pour 5 personnes muni de tout le confort moderne, superbement aménagé et d'une propreté irréprochable. Rien ne manque, du linge de maison aux serviettes de piscine, de la machine à espresso au sèche-linge. En commun avec les deux autres gîtes du domaine, un magnifique jardin ombragé, un table de tennis de table, une quinzaine de vélos, un baby-foot et surtout une très belle piscine. Les propriétaires sont d'une grande gentillesse, attentionnés et disponibles pour tout conseil, présents mais discrets. Bref, un séjour parfait qu'on espère bien renouveler ...

We had a wonderful holiday here. The cottage isbeautifully decorated with high quality furnishings and equipment. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and we all loved the facilities-table tennis, table football, badminton, swings, pool, bikes etc. Plenty in the area too to make it a wonderful stay. Dominique and Herve were so welcoming and took such pride in their cottages. We would love to return one day.

Une propriete charmant et moderne. Le mobilier de gout, la cuisine super equipee. Rien ne manque. Nous avons apprecie la pscine, toujours bien amenagee et le grand jardin de la propriete. Dominique et Herve nous avons vraiement gates et Ilse nous fourni avec plein d'informations de cette magnifique region. Absolument rien a craindre en choissisant ce refuge.

"We had a very pleasant stay of two weeks at the Domaine de la Forge. The place is beautiful, a centuries old forge converted into a calm and cosy place for relaxed holidays. Located in a small village in the countryside, however, it is easy to reach and close to all necessary shops and services, which are either available in the village itself or in the near-by city of Bergerac. We stayed in “La Grange Haute”, which had been renovated respecting spirit of the house and being at the same time modern, well organised and functional. While there were other people staying in the two other houses it offered us our own privacy. The big terrace was perfect for meals or just sitting in shadow and admiring the flowers in the courtyard. The house was very well kept, utmost clean and adequately equipped. We loved its interior design, colours and beautiful details. As we were two couples we appreciated the two bedrooms and their individual toilets and bathrooms. The very nice swimming pool adds further to the comfort and quality of the place. Our hosts were extremely friendly, helpful, and available for our questions and requests while respecting at the same time our privacy. They advised us where to go hiking and shared the jewels of their address book for good local products, specialities and restaurants. It was also through small gestures that they created a warm and friendly atmosphere. We will not forget the excellent jams and jellies of Mrs. H.!"
