Cottage in the countryside with pool near the Marais Poitevin

A lovely place and beautiful gardens. The hosts were very attentive, and responsive - we had a great couple of days.

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful gite. Brigitte and Lionel were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The gite itself and grounds are beautifully maintained - we felt super relaxed when we left having spent the week swimming, lying in hammocks and exploring the nature in the garden. Thank you Brigitte and Lionel - we hope to return one day! X

Very pretty cottage, both inside and outside. Lovely grounds, very relaxing and peaceful. Brigitte and Lionel made us feel very welcome and made sure everything was catered for. Pool very nice and we enjoyed using the table tennis / games area in the adjoining barn. Good location for visiting surrounding attractions. Hope to return in the future!

A nice week in a...<br>#128578; The gîte is set in wonderful garden grounds in which we enjoyed playing games and the shared pool is lovely. The kitchen in the gîte was well appointed with a good oven / hob and washing machine and dishwasher which was very handy for us as a family. The area is pretty quiet but the bbq provided was well used! We enjoyed a day out at Ile de Re which is only just over an hour away.<br>#128577; Despite it being spacious, the lounge area is not very comfortable as both sofas are sofa beds and therefore quite hard uncomfortable to sit on for long. We were surprised to learn that there was potentially a separate cleaning fee of over 100 Euro if we didn’t fully clean the gite ourselves - worth double checking if when you book.

We had a lovely break here, lovely location and great place to stay. The couple who hosted our stay were very inviting as well as leaving us to our own devices to enjoy the place and surrounding land. We would highly recommend this place. Thank you

An absolutely beautiful gite with super grounds and swimming pool. The whole place was so relaxing and peaceful, and the courtyard table for meals was gorgeous. Owners were so friendly and we enjoyed meeting them.

Rural rustic country forest bathing kind of place. Fantastic house with lots of room lots of equipment, everything you'd need and more, generous sized rooms. An ideal place to relax and unwind. It felt so safe. The swimming pool was out of this world. There is a beautiful vast walled garden with a swimming pool, ping pong table, bicycles, hammocks, a kids swing set, a sand pit, a dolls House and kids toys. Plenty of outdoor space well off of the road and very safe. The hosts, Brigitte and Lionel are exceptional, calling to us on a number of occasions with home baked goods. So warm, so friendly, so helpful. We still miss the place, we spent a wonderful time there, and we can't wait to go back. 5 minutes away from Super U by car, and local market every Saturday in village. Easy access to the main intercity road which links Niort (30 mins), Parthenay (30 mins), La Rochelle (50 mins) and Nantes (2hr). Lots of interesting medieval sites to visit such as castles, châteaus, bourgs and churches. We would highly recommend this rural oasis to all ages.
