Cottage Jasmine- In A Garden Setting With Views Over The Rooftops Of Dinan

Romantic retreat in a secret garden. Set against the backdrop of the medieval walled town of Dinan, this little cottage charms you from the moment you enter the sgarden hidden behind a plain grey door. It’s the perfect place for a couple, with a cozy sitting room, well-equipped kitchen (with an actual teapot!) and beautiful bedroom upstairs with whitewashed walls and a large, very comfortable bed. Lovely furnishings and thoughtful touches. Robyn is the perfect host and we could have stayed for a month. The garden itself is spectacular and the perfect place for breakfast with a view of old rooftops or an evening glass of wine. We can’t say enough good things about this very special place. A huge thanks for making our stay in Dinan a time to be long treasured.

Cozy small apartment with access to a beautiful large garden. Our host, Robyn, was welcoming, even providing home-made muffins and delicious raspberry jam. It is important to know that the Jasmine apartment, where we stayed, is very small indeed. The low eaves in the bedroom were a problem; we kept banging our heads. There is a kitchen corner with microwave and two small burners, but no counter space; it is not set up for cooking a meal, which is fine if you're eating out. There is no laundry machine. When we arrived the apartment smelled a bit musty, and we got rid of about a dozen spiders the first night. That said, it is a cozy little apartment in a characteristic old cottage on a charming (and steep!) historic street with the river and several great creperies just minutes away. Once we adjusted to the space we enjoyed our stay, and the garden was a treat.

Un duplex douillet où chaque détail est pensé avec goût pour le confort des invités, à l’image de l’hôtesse, attentionnée et discrète. Très belle endroit qui donne envie de revenir.

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans une petite maison en pierre plein de charme donnant sur un petit paradis fleuri au pied des remparts de Dinan. L'acceuil de notre hôtesse est particulièrement chaleureux et plein de petites attentions.

Our stay in Dinan was perfect in every way. The cottage is within a walled, natural Boulder enclosed garden, shared with one other charming cottage, and is completely private. The gardens are truly beautiful and well tended by Robyn, our hostess. There is a deck with round table and large umbrella so even with rain guests can sit outside. A winding staircase leads to the upper gardens, also very beautiful l. Inside, the cottage is beautifully appointed and very modern. For our arrival Robyn baked delicious raspberry muffins. There was a bouquet of fresh picked roses and a bottle of chilled white wine in the fridge. Our hosts, Robyn, Ross, and their precious little dog Molly couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, without being intrusive in any way.Their property is right in center old town Dinan, and just a short walk to the quay, filled with restaurants and docks with interesting boats. Dinan is fascinating with its 13th and 14th century buildings. Just by serendipity we were there during Dinan's Medieval Festival, a high spirited, interesting festival. Robyn and Ross helped us get tickets to the Jousting competition, a pageant of excellent horsemanship and superb horses.Our stay with the Hogans in Dinan was far too short and we hope to return soon. Robyn nous a accueilli avec gentillesse, simplicité et bonne humeur dans son petit paradis sur les hauteurs de Dinan.Son gîte est très bien aménagé, impeccablement tenu et rien n'y manque, y compris de charmantes attentions.Et le jardin a grandement contribué à la qualité de notre séjour à Dinan et ses environs. Un très beau souvenir.

Nous avons passé 4 jours très agréables dans le petit cocon aménagé avec goût au milieu d'un merveilleux jardin au coeur de Dinan. Nous remercions notre hôte Robyn qui nous a accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de petites attentions très appréciables (muffins et confiture faits maison ainsi qu'une bouteille de vin)!Nous reviendrons très certainement.

Loved our cottage stay within this quaint little medieval town. This is an excellent place to submerse yourself in Dinan the surrounding areas. Robyn and Ross were such lovely hosts, they really went out of their way to look after us. You'll totally feel at home here. The cottage was impeccably clean, well organised comfortable. We even had homemade treats on arrival. Our highlight was the impeccable 2 tier garden setting. You'll love every moment while staying here!
