Country Cottage / Gite - Birac sur trec

Perfect little gite for two with a most attractive garden surrounded by fields of sunflowers. The spacious garden offers both sunny and shady spots and lots of privacy. The house is simply furnished and reasonably well-equipped. The rooms are spacious and offer both sunny and cool spaces with large picture windows upstairs overlooking the garden. The host, Giliam could not have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful and always respected our privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in July and are already thinking of booking again.

We had the good fortune to find this place. We loved our time there, so much so that next time, we would stay longer. Thank you to Gillian, our gracious host; we will remember you fondly

Gite Ducel is like no other one bedroom gite that we have stayed in. We were there for one week and loved every minute. It has so much character and is so spacious, not only inside but outside too. Beautiful sunflower fields surround you which you can view from your private swimming pool! Everything that we required was provided and Giliam was the perfect host and made our stay even better. We have already started making plans to visit again next year!

Guilliam is the perfect host, every detail had been thought through. His home and gitte stunning! We were looking for peace and quiet and a relaxing holiday and it was everything we wanted. Although theres plenty to do just a short drive in any direction. We would highly recommend Ducel.

What a lovely, romantic location. We had a fantastic, relaxing stay. Gilliam is a first class host (and makes wonderful jam!), and the gite has everything anyone could need. Sitting in the garden, with stunning views over the sunflower fields, real life seemed a very long way away. Thanks, Gilliam! We shall be back!
