Country House - Garden - Private access to the Loir

😊: The house was lovely and big with a garden down to the river. It was a 10 minute walk into the village. Communication was really good and we were given a lot of information about the surrounding area and how to make the best of our stay.. 😢: We were only two people so the bathroom/toilet set up was ok but with one bathroom ensuite and the other just a shower and washbasin in the room it is not practical for lots of people. The wooden floors were very noisy particularly on the 3rd floor. The stairs to the kitchen were very steep and quite difficult to use. The kitchen was fine but you felt that not a lot of thought had gone into it particularly the odd assortment of crockery and I have never seen so many glasses - there must have been over 200! Finally the garden needed a bit of care. There was a storage area full of junk covered badly with an old curtain and the furniture was not fit for purpose. I have mentioned all this as an observation not a complaint. We actually had a lovely time although it was a shame that all but the Hotel de France restaurant were closed the three days we were there..
