Deauville Luxury Blue Loft - sauna and inside pool - Apartment

😊: Pool for kids great and location. 😢: No Outside space.

😊: Great location in Trouville (not Deauville as advertised) with easy parking, shops and restaurants nearby.. 😢: It’s dangerous. The flat is in need of urgent maintenance before someone gets seriously hurt. It’s bad enough for adults but If you have kids, this property is an absolute no-go. - The barrier on the ground floor to stop people falling into the pool below is lethal. The mounting by the stairs is not anchored properly, wobbles and therefore bears no load if you hold on to it and it has cracked the adjacent floor tile. - There’s no hand railing down the stairs. - The sauna, downstairs lights and TV didn’t work for the first 24hrs as there’s an electrical fault/short which causes the fuse box to trip. The owner sent someone from Paris (2hrs away) to fix it the day after we arrived and they got it working but it tripped the fuse again when we tried to use the sauna and it took out all the power downstairs ex-the pool pump. - When the sauna worked, it stank of burning plastic. We were told this was because it was new but on closer inspection, a plastic junction box was exposed with live wiring. It’s likely that which smelt and probably unsafe if people coming in wet from pool/shower. - The pool was uninviting. There was a broken door behind the pool. - There’s no way anyone could sleep on the pull out bed down by the pool as the pump would keep you up. This flat is for 3 couples max (3 bedrooms as you walk in along the right hand side). - There was a broken Velux roof window which meant the main living areas and bedrooms were hot (it was 19-20’C in Trouville when we visited) but in the summer it would be unbearable. The bedrooms have no a/c and for this price you would expect it, even in France which doesn’t typically do a/c. - The flat has an ant infestation which the owner attributes to climate change. - The WiFi is intermittent which means the smart TV is also intermittent. Other renters have mentioned this and owner put it down to Orange network maintenance but it’s clearly ongoing issue. - Bedroom 3 had a broken blind..
