DEMEURE EN PIERRES de charme sur 3 hect Piscine 12x6

The house is lovely and in a beautiful area but has not really been set up for renting. The communication from the owner was poor, with no communication until just before arriving, and no instructions left for running the house. This then became an issue when we left. We had put all the recycling in the bins at the end of the drive. There was no bin or area for glass so we created a box with glass bottles in. This was then raised as an issue when we left, plus we were charged an additional £83 for replacing bedlinen (which was apparently stained but no photo evidence was sent through to prove this, despite requesting this.) We were also not warned that we would have to feed their cats and have them live in the house. The cats liked to jump on the beds and sleep with us, which frightened the children. We tried keeping the cats out at night, but they meowed and woke us up. So, if you do stay you should note that the cats live in the house. Overall, we had a good stay as the area is beautiful, the house is peaceful and the pool is very well maintained. But our stay was left tainted by the cats, the poor communication and the excessive undeserved charge at the end.

The garden is full of wonderful plants, flowers, herbs and fruits. There is plenty of space around the house, the neighbors pretty far away, so you nearly feel like being in the middle of the landscape. The place of the pool and the pool itself are just perfect. No plastic furniture outside, we appreciated this very much! Everything is chosen very personal and special. And we enjoyed the animals so much! For example we learnt a lot about how smart a donkey can be! The communication with Isabelle and Franck was very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for everything, we hope we can come back! Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans cette propriété: - très bien équipée: salles de bain neuves/rénovées, cuisine très bien équipée, piscine chauffée tout confort, mobilier en suffisance, appareils multimédias de haute qualité - ayant du charme: mur en pierre donnant un cachet spécifique à la région (l'apéro le soleil couchant est superbe), décoration intérieure effectuée avec goût mêlant moderne et rustique - située en plein cœur du médoc: proche de l’ocean, ses plages et activités nautiques mais aussi de la myriade de châteaux qui raviront les œnologues - en pleine nature: un âne, un cheval, 2 poules et 2 adorables chats raviront les enfants et les amoureux de la nature sans pour autant causer de désagréments (seuls les chats sont à nourrir 1 fois par jour -> une immense joie pour mon fils de 6 ans :-). Un verger et un potager sont également à disposition ! Si je devais ne serait-ce que notifier un point d’amelioration pour les futurs locataires: l’emplacement des chats à côté de la chambre au rez-de-chaussée (qui est superbe) pourrait incommoder le locataire au niveau des allergènes et du bruit. Étant venus à 6, nous n’avons pas eu besoin de l’utiliser mais prévoir une chatière dans la buanderie serait un plus selon nous. Bref, ce point de détail n’a en rien impacté notre séjour et nous sommes certains que cette propriété ravira à coup sûr ses futurs locataires... Merci à vous Monsieur et Madame Lap**** / Cor**

Les propriétaires ont eu la gentillesse de nous accueillir dans leur charmante demeure aux dimensions généreuses et à l’environnement calme et reposant. Toute la famille a apprécié à sa juste valeur ce moment de repos et de sérénité dans cette maison où l’on s’est immédiatement senti comme chez nous. Les plus jeunes ont apprécié la présence de Fripouille et Icare les deux adorables chats, les ados se sont régalés dans la très grande piscine tandis que les parents ont profité des transats et des belles soirées d’été sur la terrasse. Merci à nos hôtes pour ce joli moment et qui sait peut être nous y reviendrons nous un jour...

Nous étions 4 adultes et 3 enfants - La maison est très spacieuse et ouverte sur l'immense parc / jardin qui l'entoure, le calme assuré à moins de 10 minutes de Saint Laurent Médoc où l'on trouve tout ce qu'il faut pour faire les emplettes. La maison mêle charme typique à rénovation confortable (cuisine et 2 salles de bain du bas). La piscine et ses chaises longues ont ravi grands et petits (elle est entretenue par les propriétaires qui passent tous les 2-3 jours contrôler la qualité de l'eau). Les animaux; l'âne Reglisse, les 3 poules qui fournissent des oeufs quotidien, le coq et les chats qui se baladent tout autours de la maison ajoutent une note sympathique au cadre (attention toutefois aux personnes très allergiques aux poils d'animaux qui pourraient être incommodées). Enfin Franck et Isabelle les propriétaires, sont très amicaux, serviables, et plein de bon tuyaux concernant la région; nous les remercions pour leur accueil chaleureux dans cette belle et grande maison!

A very charming farmhouse that felt like home from home. It is an ideal location for all ages and with temperatures up to 40 degrees the house remained cool and the pool temperature perfect. The kitchen was very well equipped and the house held real charm with the chickens, a horse a donkey and three cats who were very tolerant of our playful husky. The gardens are expansive with lots of fruit trees. It is only a short drive to the local good quality supermarket and boulangerie, and to the coast or Gironde estuary. For wine lovers there is an endless selection of quality vineyards within easy driving distance. We have no hesitation in highly recommending this beautiful French farmhouse and we hope to visit again soon.

3 cats living there hat we were unaware of. No washing machine for first week until owners bought a new one that I had to install. Someone came to eh house everyday and let them self in regardless if we were there or not. Strange pipe in swimming pool that kept coming of. No towels provided. Bathrooms unfinished and floor just chip board. No internet capability and no 3G. Location great apart from neighbours dogs that bark relentlessly. Bearing in mind the cost, we did not feel the house had enough quality to justify the price, perhaps when it has been refurbished and the works finished it will be better. Area fantastic and we will revisit but choose our holiday house more carefully.
