Domaine Anguyales

Le domaine correspond de manière authentique aux photos disponibles sur le site. Les propriétaires sont très sympas, accueillants et sérieux. Le premier soir, nous avons été acceuillis avec un apéro élaboré et avons reçu des infos sur les environs, les activités et visites possibles. Les propriétaires vivent à côté et sont facilement disponibles tout en étant extrêment discrets. L'entretien de la piscine est effectué tous les jours. David et Isabella ont la gentillesse de partager les légumes de leur jardin et les oeufs de poules. La vue des chambres, sur la campagne environnante, est un réel bonheur le matin au réveil. La maison est agréable et très spacieuse ; chaque chambre a ses propres sanitaires ainsi que de vrais lits doubles. Le dépaysement est total. Le domaine se situe au calme de part son isolement. C'était notre première expérience Abritel et celle-ci a été très positive. A recommander que ce soit en famille ou entre amis.

Domain Anguyales was a wonderful place to stay with our adult children. Really got to see life in a rural area yet close enough to reach both Toulouse and Carcassonne for more historic city life. We even drove to Argeles sur Mer for a day at the Mediterranean. Lots of opportunity to walk nearby as well as to mountain bike down to the Canal du Midi and the pilgrimage route from Arles to Toulouse and beyond to Spain. Great Saturday market in Revel 20 minutes away plus others nearby as well as bakeries and big supermarket as needed. The house had plenty of rooms so everyone could have their own space. The pool was beautiful with great view across wheat fields. Modern kitchen made cooking easy, plus wood fire outside for roasting and grilling. David and Isabelle live right behind the house so they are available when needed but unseen when not. They made us a great multi course meal with wine tasting so we could enjoy dinner with our "feet under the table" one night. Delicious! Great property to visit which we could go back to when we return to the region.

This is a wonderful luxurious converted farmhouse that is large, modern and comfortable. The modern fully equipped kitchen is ideal for family living. It opens out to a sun filled garden and dining area where we had our lunches and dinners. There’s also a Summer kitchen where you can BBQ inside. The bedrooms are large and airy. Beautiful modern bathrooms. Lounge is comfortable and big and includes big screen TV and Canal Plus. And there’s a games room! Of course there’s a tremendous swimming pool, large enough for laps and games. We sat outside by the pool on the decking looking out across to the Pyrenees. One great advantage of this property is that there’s so much space around the house to enjoy. You can see for miles. Overall it was a joy to spend two weeks in this spacious house. We spent hours and hours looking for the perfect accommodation near Carcassonne and we found it here in Montmaur. David and Isabella who live next door are the perfect hosts. Never obtrusive but always there if you want help. Their welcome dinner and drinks was a charming introduction to the Domaine. Be warned though you certainly need a car and the supermarket is about 10 minutes drive away. Restaurants are also not close by. But the accommodation is so lovely you hardly want to leave. It is an ideal spot to visit locations in the area including Carcassonne, Toulouse, Rocamadour and the foothills of the Peyrenees. We definitely plan to return.

This is a wonderful house in an excellent location. Beautifully appointed, David and Isabella have created a superb property that is a total pleasure to stay in. They are excellent, welcoming hosts who really care about your holiday, and who are totally discreet but are on hand to assist with advice and support whenever needed - and are generous with their garden grown herbs and vegetables! The house is a joy - the swimming pool brilliant and a whole range of activities means that you are rather inclined never to leave. Around Montmaur there are some excellent sights to see, especially Carcassone which is an outstanding early medieval city and very close. But Castres should also not be missed, and Toulouse is worth a visit, and close to hand. There is shopping within 5km and some very good local restaurants, most notably the Relais de Riquet on the Canal du Midi at Segala. It is the house, pool and location that will remain with us for a very long time, however. It is a wonderful place for an entirely relaxing break - excellent for a group of people as there is sufficient space and privacy to allow time alone as well as family/group activities. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

Très belle demeure, fidèle aux photos du site, tranquillité assurée. La proximité des propriétaires n'est absolument pas gênante (discrétion +++) et leur gentillesse ainsi que leur accueil sont des plus agréables. La maison est très spacieuse et l'espace piscine est un régal. Les équipements sont de très bonne qualité. C'est un havre de paix pour se ressourcer.
