Domaine de Juriol - La demeure

UNE MAUVAISE EXPERIENCE... La région est très agréable. Le domaine inspire calme et sérénité. La piscine est superbe. Et pourtant...Voilà maintenant plus de trente années que nous louons via Gîtes de France et nous n'avons jamais vécu une expérience aussi désagréable. A notre arrivée et à notre grande surprise, nous constatons une fête avec de nombreux convives organisée par les propriétaires sur le domaine. Nous avons subi les passages et nuisances sonores liées à cette fête jusqu'à très tard dans la nuit. Durant le séjour, nous avons vécu une deuxième nuit blanche: Là c'était le gentil Bouledogue des propriétaires qui était resté dans la cour et aboyait en continue pour rentrer.... Revenons à ce Bouledogue. Il est très sympathique mais, par soucis d'hygiène, nous aurions souhaité ne pas partager la piscine avec lui. Nous avons poliment formulé cette demande et avons été estomaqués par le ton et la réponse exprimés.. Nous avons bien entendu que ce domaine est celui de ce Bouledogue (qui accède comme il le souhaite à la piscine) et des propriétaires pour qui il est visiblement compliqué de partager cet espace en respectant le règlement du domaine. Malgré nos différents, nous nous attendions à un minimum de courtoisie de la part de nos hôtes pendant notre séjour: Répondre aux salutations des locataires croisés ne devrait pas être une option!

Logement agréable Sejour agréable, parfait pour se réunir en famille. Les propriétaires sont réactifs . Gite a recommander.

😊: Friendly dogs Kids loved the zip line Cooker, Fridge, Washing machine & Dish washer. 😢: We were met at the property by a young security guard who spoke no English. His welcome was here is the key and don't go in that area of the pool. Any "host" that may have been onsite ignored us completely, a chap did scowl at us though. Our host, who did seem friendlier messaged to say they were away and would be back later in the week. After returning later in the week she went away on holiday for our second week, but I could message if I needed anything. So, our host score was a D for disappointing. We don't need hand holding but a few things that were unusual to the property would have been good to know, for example the little stream running through the garden was host to the local Tiger Mosquito population. Our grand daughter had to be taken to the local medical centre for treatment, again a D for Dissapointing. Tell us at induction and we understand! Just down the hillside, twice a week was a local Gig, maybe a festival, maybe a foody type event but either way let us know so that at midnight on our first day we know to close the windows. Tell us at induction and we understand! The property........ Was filthy so it either wasn't cleaned by the last people or wasn't checked or both, who knows. I do know that I had to remove the shower drain covers and get rid of hair and dry soap so that the showers didn't over flow. A large amount of the crockery was chipped. Two of four metal chairs outside had broken slats. There were several light bulbs around the house were not working. The kitchen units were an unfinished project, at the top of one unit there were 2 screws hanging down. At some point a glass pane in the kitchen door had broken, been replaced with putty but just left unpainted. I appreciate that some of this stuff may appear petty but these details are repeated in every room. Dirty sinks in the utility room etc, the house needed a deep clean..

Cold house When the sun isn't shining, the house has to little comfort. It was so cold, so we could one sit in the kitchen. The pictures on the internet where very nice, but in real it was a bit of a disappointment. The toiletbrush was to dirty to handle. The owners didn't make contact with us. So we think that the gite is overpriced.
