Domaine des Montots

😊: The host met us there and explained everything we needed to know about the property. They also gave us recommendations about the area; where to eat, what to visit, etc.. They were very friendly. The property is located just outside of Tanlay, France and was very quiet and peaceful but only a 15 minute amble into Tanlay where there is a very good bakery, a lovely little supermarket and a basic, good, friendly Bisto attached to the hotel: Bistrot La Basse Cour. Good base for cycling: you can hire cycles and boats by the canal in Tanlay. 2 hours to Dijon, 1.5 hours to Auxerre and 25 minutes to Chablis. All worth a visit. Large supermarkets 8 km away in Tonnerre; Leclerc, Lidl and Aldi but it's also in the region where they make Champagne, Chablis, Beef Bourguignon, Chaource cheese amongst other very excellent food & drink, so get out and try some local producers!. 😢: We missed a pool but that depends on what you are looking for..
